My inner geek is kicking in now. Trumps win in Florida is bloody interesting. Votes up amongst Latino voters and also claims he has got more votes from African-Americans.

If that is replicated nationwide then absolutely remarkable.

Seen this from exit polls in terms of Trumps vote. Only Gammons are down. LOL. Oh the f***ing irony. It is almost delicious.

Trump winning by massive margins and then they stop counting votes.

This was always going to be settled in court.

Democracy is a lie.

A national election but each state sets it rules, crazy.

I do not get why some states will accept postal votes after the polls have closed and in some cases several weeks after. That is a recipe for disaster and fraud.

In this country we only accept postal votes up to the end of day of the election and quite rightly. The Americans have had weeks to get their postal votes in so why wait until the result is almost known and then vote.

Whatever the outcome, the swing to Trump by minorities is incredible.

Again, a little geeky but seen one particular county. $17,000 average wages, 95% Hispanic. In 2016 Hillary won it by a 60% margine. This year Biden wins it by 5%.

Of course the figures need to be finalised but this is pretty amazing given the narrative in the run up to it.

@Badger11:

Votes SENT after the election is closed is not accepted in the US!

They have to carry the post stamp of Nov 3 at the latest to be valid, but can be COUNTED after 3 November - typically for up to 3 days.

Some states stipulate that counting of such votes cannot be started untl the physical election is closed. Wisconsin and Pennsylvania are exemples.

Bizarre that the Republicans "expec"t massive fraud. One case from recent years in from North Carolina, the fraud carried out by a Republican!

They are rather preparing for a defeat they won't accept. Pathetic antidemocrats.

It isn't really.

American democracy has always been a sham. Given the amount of money allowed in, and the antiquated electoral college system, it has always been easier to game than win fairly.

The depressing thing is that many on the right are only now shouting injustice when their billionaire kleptocrat poster boy is on the verge of defeat. Either have principle or don't complain.
