Too old.

And not right wing enough.....turned out to be an appeaser instead of a pleaser to his base.

Agreed.

The Republicans will look for "Trump Lite" somebody who has Trump like policies but is a little more polished.

Well, the funders/elites of the Republicans will try to.

However, there will be a battle within the party first over its direction.

Direction in all western democracies seems rather confused. Look at our efforts here!

Most definitely.

We don't even have a conservative party that's conservative.

I was thinking about this last night and my conclusion was that Lindsey Graham has been positioning himself to attempt a run in 2024. Possibly with Trump Jnr as his VP to keep the hardline base onside. I hope I am wrong and the GOP move back to the centre again where they might have a chance of running someone who would command general respect like Mitt Romney.

Candace Owens will be 35 in 2024 so will be eligible to run as well.

IMO no they don’t, and many haven’t accepted it graciously, you even put the word result in inverted commas, why?
You could legitimately argue that by challenging any aspect of the referendum you are not accepting the result.
So I believe I do have a point

I am not going to get into yet another siding on Brexit and why some people remain unhappy over the process. I'll try just one more time to explain.

The point about the US election is that direct voting fraud has been alleged, albeit without evidence, as a reason not to accept the result.

Nothing like that, so far as I can recall, has ever happened in the UK on any occasion, Brexit included.

So the Brexit "result" (quoting you) has been accepted but the reasons for holding the vote in the first place, the way that Parliament behaved and the consequences haven't.

I like her....she's definitely a social conservative.

I remember her back when she was 'red pill black' arguing with Blair White.

Which led to the amusing parody of their argument.
