There could have been a bomb, there could have been a chemical weapon, or weapons in those backpacks just a hallway away from the only people with the power to deny Trump his ability to continue as president. The National Guard took forever to deploy, both Maryland and Virginia deployed National Guards before the one under the President's order, and the DC guard was eventually deployed without Trump's order apparently." This is true of whoever is in power, and isn't somehow okay now just because the Trump show is leaving town. It's not something that can happen in terms of there being a functioning government at the end of it. Some need to get away from an almost palpable excitement at the idea of people they're not aligned with or oppose being terrorised. It may be that some people didn't say enough about looters or rioters prior, but I certainly do not recall anyone being encouraged on any level by extreme events. States should come down hard on all types of unlawfulness, though I can for obvious reasons see why this at their doorstep caused them more concern. If people wind up dead, individuals chant 'Kill Pelosi' while walking around in bullet proof vests and (real) pipe bombs are left behind it's not really something that should elicit a "Yeah, that put the frighteners up 'em!" type response. As to Unemployment, Obama inherited a 7.8% and handed trump a 4.7% rate. Trump Reduced that 4.7 to 3.5 before COVID took off. Obama did what he did after being handed the worst economy since the great depression, Trump took over an already thriving economy. Please explain how you think Trumps numbers are so great.
