I agree that he's not worth it and that it's not in Biden's interest to pursue him. My point was the separation of powers means it isn't up to him and nor should it be.

It will be up to the Justice Dept and the new AG, who may just have an axe to grind. I wonder if charges will be laid, Biden maintains a distance and then pardons before they are heard "in a spirit of reconciliation and forgiveness".

I’m a bit late to this but the republicans are now worried that they’ll lose control of the senate as they’ve been telling their voting base for weeks that the election was rigged, and now people don’t see the point of voting in the run offs. Their own supporters. Couldn’t make this s*** up.

That would certainly be poetic justice. Republicans usually turn out when it matters though so I would think they still have the edge. If Trump remains in 'fraud mode' though as a last ditch attempt to save his skin, he's not going to worry it is takes down a couple of GOP senators along the way.

Ultimately if it's all handled fairly that's all you can ask for.

If one side or the other think there has been underhand tactics then obviously it's going to used to heat up their bases.....Well, to be realistic that's going to happen regardless.

Still, tribalism aside, I worry about the time being available to properly tackle these issues however I also agree....for the time being that transitional routines take place.

My position has always been that the truth is an underused currency by both parties and is also mostly an irrelevance to them......In some ways the parties are similar to football crowds, overtly biased and willing to celebrate a goal (I suppose pre VAR) for their side even if it's offside.

I won't deny that I can be guilty of that....but it's mostly tongue in cheek.
