Why bring Trump into this? You really can’t help yourself can you!

Watch the interview!

That lady is no politician. She is a scientist. You really don't have to be particularly adept at body language, or determining someone's acting capability, to work that out.

Trump is brought into this because it's him who is ramping up the distrust in the WHO for no positive reasons at all. Other than to divert attention from his own failings and distract his base.

So what? The criticism of the comment remains exactly the same. Repeating the assertion adds nothing to its authenticity.

I already highlighted in my previous post the issue of staff bringing it in

"Quarantining is worthwhile, but it clearly hasn't been particularly successful and asymptomatic staff likely bring it into the environment too."

Again, I'm not personalising it, you keep imagining I'm talking about you and your approach personally. I'm talking about the lack of successful planning from the top and the body count. It is what it is.

No. I am giving you actual information on first hand examples. Please don’t bother reading them if you don’t like them.

I read it and acknowledged it. I also pointed out, as is factually the case, that the opposite has happened in some homes and that a wide and effectual plan for care homes has not been enacted. Those in homes have been let down, as have those working in such environments. A person's pride in his work does not outweigh a grotesque reality. Outbreaks in 5000+ homes hitting the most vulnerable, while those able to shrug it off are sat indoors twiddling their thumbs is not a success, it's inept policy making on both fronts.

This is a disease of the over 75s, people with underlying health problems especially related to blood and BAME people.

Care homes was always going to be an issue. I do not believe the issue is primarily due to people coming from hospitals however. It is hard to imagine what could have been done to prevent the entry of the disease into homes given the high staffing requirements. It is true that the government was woefully slow at providing help and guidance. Most providers have reacted well however as have many local authorities. It is interesting how for example guidance on the use of PPE has changed almost daily, not well managed.

By the way, I was neither agreeing nor disagreeing with your points earlier, merely giving you information.

In Croydon’s ITU there are 18 patients with COVID all of whom are BAME. They all tested low for vitamin D. Listen people, get out in the sun. Those of you with very dark skin TAKE SUPPLEMENTS NOW! It’s the first thing the hospital does, giving COVID Patients vitamin D. Turns out it isn’t just woke people worrying and apparently It’s less about lifestyle than many had thought.

As I previously said, I was not commenting on the interview. So you can tell someone is not politically motivated by her suppose body language on tv, very clever. I have not said she was but was interested to know how, without personally knowing her, you can be so sure.
No positive reason to mistrust the WHO! If that’s what you want to believe that’s fine, imo they didn’t give sufficient information early enough regarding Covid, maybe something to do with the extra funding being received from China. FYI I do not particularly like Trump and do not agree with his handling of the crisis but I Sam not obsessed with him, unlike you appear to be.

Back in February when we didn't realise the impact this virus would have I asked for advice from my doctor neighbour as I was supposed to be going to Indonesia in March. She gave me a load of vitamin D tablets and told me to build up my immune system with them plus vitamin C plus Wellman. "It won't stop you getting the virus but will help you fight it."

I'm still taking them daily and so far I am okay if I had the virus I haven't noticed.

It does beg the question why are BAME people so low in vitamin D we get it from the sun but also from certain foods. Is it diet?

Most sources aren’t rich in vitamin d. Sunlight is best. By March many people have low vitamin d after the winter. BAME people tend to avoid the sun more than white people. Take cod liver oil.

Genuine question. Why do BAME people tend to avoid the sun more than white people? That’s a lifestyle choice. I take cod liver oil anyway. Had an elbow pain a few years ago for a long time and had gone within a month of taking for liver oil.

Isn’t this BAME claim exaggerated seeing as the virus is a problem in built up areas?

And as tasty as Caribbean and Indian food is, it is pretty high in saturated fat. Obesity or internal visceral fat is a problem when fighting off this virus.
