His brother in law lives in London. Why couldn't he have looked after Little Dom? He has lied and should pay the price. Couldn't even apologise to the people who have suffered far greater than he has.

Why should he like it's all his fault. He don't owe anybody an apology and a brother in law in times of need sons want their fathers not uncles. Any father who loves his child would do exactly what he has done guaranteed.

You clearly have no self awareness and that is me being polite.

Or is that a different type of media?

Many of us criticised the extent to which Corbyn was treated badly at times by the media.

And that's coming from me, who thinks that a Marxist leading the opposition was wholly dangerous and absurd.

From a pragmatic perspective I'd say that he offered a decent explanation. I get the argument that he was hypocritical to an extent, but when matters relate to family people have to exert their best judgement given the circumstances they're presented with. How true to life his version of the whats, wheres and whys are is anyones guess, but it's unknowable. This will likely all blow over and we can get back to concentrating on the health of the nation and the economy, rather than this sideshow.

He owes the people who couldn't visit their loved ones when they were seriously ill an apology. He owes those that obeyed the rules an apology. They read a question from parents who were both down with the virus and had 2 children. They didn't do what he did. Your guarantee seems worthless. He could have stayed in London and had his brother-in-law move in.

I don't know what his relationship is with his 'brother in laws' nor do I know what that brother in laws responsibilities are.....It looks like you're just searching for any old excuse here.

At the end of the day in laws are married in family rather than blood and relationships and the expectations from them differ between families.

Cummings made a perfectly reasonable decision.

The number of 17 year olds who die of this is tiny so having his niece look after this child makes perfect sense.

And the reports of a second visit... surely the media weren’t lying, heaven bid

You honestly believe every story that comes in from people on the news it's like the people who immediately changed their mind after brexit because they didnt think brexit would win some people just want to play their part in hurting the mans reputation no matter how they do it. But even if they are true which they may or may not be I fail to see why he owes an apology for it everybody reacts to a situation regarding their personal circumstances its human nature we interpret rules how we want to interpret them. I'm not saying Cummings was right but I understand why he did it and I think people who dont want to understand are acting this way out of spite.
