Tougher restrictions?

What's Tier Five?...stick fecking revolvers to your heads to stop the spread?

Tier Six....just nuke the country and finish it off.

Lockdown the country for 2 months all areas to stop it spreading.

Close the schools for the same period.

Use the closed schools as mass vaccination sites.

I believe that a 'National Lockdown' is now inevitable and quite frankly the sooner the better.

This together with the vaccine roll-out will mean that we could be in a position whereby restrictions will be lifted earlier than would be the case if we persist with the 'Tier' system.

This is the maximum I’d accept. I expect they’d extend and extend and extend.

In the summer we went into 'Lockdown' for about 3.5 months and it really felt like an eternity.
At least during that period the weather was in our favour and my wife and I had pleasant walks on the beach and in general.

Finally, has there been an interview recently when Messrs Johnson and Hancock have not asserted that the situation is kept "Under constant review" ? I am sick to the back teeth of hearing these words.

Indeed. Impartial? Not so sure about that. How does she propose the following:
Preparing kids for said examinations:
Parents will not be able to work due to childcare arrangements:
Did she happen to mention stopping all international travel? Thought not

The goverment has been particularly cagey on some statistics throughout.

Particularly, the average age and average BMI of those dying with the disease.

From the announcement about the vaccination programme, you can see that 90 to 99% of the deaths are happening from ages 50 and up or those with underlying health conditions.

Total deaths seem to be up about 10% from the previous 5 year average. Apparently the average age of COVID related deaths is 82 and the majority are overweight or obese.

I still think its drastically unfair that young people are taking the brunt of critism for misbehaving whilst others have negated their health for decades and the whole country is locked down to protect them.

Schools and University are meant to be at the epicentre of the current spread. You can't expect children to behave impeccably for an indefinitely period of time. I'm not sure its unreasonable to say, if you have school age kids or are a young adult at uni - stay away from the over 50's until they are vaccinated!

If you are over 50, don't go to the pub or crowded spaces if you can avoid it!

Lockdown measures are getting more and more draconian and likely to get worse due to lack of compliance. Can't we just increase the fines, or take away furlough from those who are caught breaking the rules. Impose age related restrictions to those that aren't vaccinated, and start opening up the country again. Give people some more accountability for themselves but have greater powers for people stupid enough to get caught stepping out of line?

Given the country's current predicament I find it very difficult to understand how you can still be maintaining your stance, that the cure is worse than the disease.

The mess we would now be in if we had followed your approach is of nightmare proportions. It's bad enough now but at least most of us have a chance of getting treatment and surviving should we get it, along with getting the other NHS care than many require.

Of course the economic hit is awful and the damage to our children's education regrettable. We can though recover from both. We may all have to do with a few less "things" for a while. Less holidays, gadgets and pints, but most will have the most precious thing of all. Life.

I assume that should you get C19, which I sincerely hope you don't, that you will refuse to accept NHS treatment on the basis that it isn't needed as it's only like getting the flu.

The issue is about "Policing" and enforcement.

Perhaps akin to retired medics as volunteers to assist with the vaccine roll-out we need to hire retired Police Officers to endure the rules are NOT transgressed and that those who do flout the rules face the full force of the law.

I have heard accounts of 'Covid Marshals' being employed in certain venues in Australia who require proof that those seated together reside in the same household and in Spain the Police had been far more vigorous in ensuring compliance during their summer lockdown. I have heard reports of Police asking to check till receipts for those who informed the Police they had been shopping.

Yes Willo that is true for Spain and you have to visit the closest supermarket, not necessarily the one you want to go to. Their lockdown was stricter than ours however I would say that I thought our first lockdown was very well followed where we lived but I can only talk for that area.

Less pints? Why on earth would anyone have to put up with less pints? Supermarket booze is a quarter the price of pub booze so you can have 75% more!

All the stats are used to suit whatever agenda they like.

The stats are gathered by a test which is known to be useless so straight away those numbers are meaningless also it tells you the tests been used not the amount of people I have had 30 of these tests myself and unless you have symptoms normal people don't even have them so that is unbalanced straight away.

The deaths are a tough one because we don't have real evidence of covid-19 killing these people just what a as stated before a test which is known to not been 100% showing some one has it.

Overweight/obese people will be affected due to when you tend to be either you have other health issues it's very rare for a person to be in this category and be healthy (some may now say but rugby player etc are well no they are not because they have low body fat the standard bmi charts are just another made up concept)

If you look at the real science and figures why these measures are being used now just shows that some hidden motives are at play 99%+ will be fine so why would they be putting sanctions on those people in makes no sense they have never done this with the flu which still has higher death count and that has had vaccine for long time.

It's about time we just protect the people that need protecting and allow people the choice but that wont happen they have a lot invested in this vaccine and they want everybody to have it expect in future they will come out with some more made up science to get kids having it.
