Here we go again! Yet another ad hominem. This one though is really very revealing. As well as avoiding answering the criticism.

It comes from a passionate advocate of free speech. Yet who doesn't want someone's opinions to be aired.

It comes from a fierce critic of "cancel culture". Yet who wants to cancel someone.

Hypocrisy on fire!

In any event what would "blocking" achieve? It would only stop personal messages being sent. As none have ever been exchanged with this poster what possible benefit could accrue?

I post in open on the message board where no-one is obliged to either read my posts, or respond to them. Unless and until I transgress the rules sufficiently to warrant a ban, I will post here so those who wish to read them can do so.

The Free Speech Champion of The World has a very low threshold when it comes to others’ speech he doesn’t he like.

You shouldn’t have to put up with the persistent personal attacks either. I got a yellow for calling him a ‘man baby’, which him or another free speech champion (*cough* PV *cough*) obviously reported so maybe hit that little report button if that’s what works.

A virus that's been around for nearly two years in the UK.....apparently hasn't been 'factored in' yet....despite whole extra hospitals having been built for it, vaccines commissioned and paid for, staff trained, Army utilized.

But no....it's all too new for WE.

Anyway, I'm off to enjoy the rest of the night.

Going a little bit further we have 1229 hospitals in the UK so roughly speaking that is 5 people per hospital all admitted with Covid in the last 7 days.

Blocking is a facility used on Twitter and other platforms, it doesn't stop anyone's free speech.

Stop lying.

Anyway, like I say I'm off.

So you believe that freedom of speech has consequences if people don’t like it then?

That you don’t see the hypocrisy in your own position is ridiculous, but really not surprising.

Glad of the clarification. Reading your original post would suggest you would like the site to "block" me. If it was only private messages then it would make no difference at all and just be tokenism. I have never sent a private message to you, or anyone else likely to want to hang onto your coat tails.

As for me....haven't I said my position enough times? Don't speak for me, as you'll be as incorrect as usual.

I have never criticised people for taking these vaccines. It is their personal choice. As I said my personal decision was 60/40 against for various reasons. However, each person decides for themselves.
I caught the Delta months ago, recovered and so have natural immunity. Hopefully I have already been through this latest variant but I have no fear of it. I will however take tests before visiting people at Xmas....because I regard that as reasonable.

I do criticise both the government and institutions for using coercion and recommending the young and healthy take vaccines that can have no real benefit for them.

I will look again in the new year.

I am the exact same! I am unvaccinated! Caught covid in November (pretty sure it was omicron) have my natural immunity! I was fine after the 11 days and then back to the gym and back to full fitness now!

I am not a covid denier I believe it is real! I do regular tests! So I don't go out and infect others! I would never tell someone to not get the vax and I would never tell someone to get it! I completely respect everyone's choice!

My sister got covid a year ago and was very sick with it! This year she has it again! And it is completely milder now! I will probably get it once a year and I don't mind at all! I usually get sick once a year anyway and I think it's good as it builds up the immune system to better fight off "new variant" or flu symptoms.

Anyways! Have a lovely Christmas! And try not to get too stressed about all the s***e in the world!

Are you being serious? Emergency provisions which include having to postpone elective surgery are no substitute for long term, well-thought-out and budgeted plans. We have faced, and continue to face, a crisis which you could play a small part in helping to solve, but refuse because you don't want to.

You are though ignoring the impact on the NHS and only concentrating on the individuals.

We need to think beyond the personal.

You are not stupid. You know that your constant ‘critiquing’ of all the approaches being taken worldwide by all countries at the guidance of their medics will sow doubts in those who are undecided. By claiming you are impartial your actions are pernicious. There can be no doubt you are trying to ‘win’ an argument and encourage others to share your views. Anyone taken in by your apparent certainty will be placed in mortal danger. Well done.
