Yeah we need more of these safe and effective vaccines:

There are of course a great many safe and effective vaccines in useage that have saved many millions of lives. I expect you've had some yourself. It's nice of you to confirm though that your alt-outlook has metastasized to such an extent that you're now just broadly against testing and working on future vaccines in general.

There are mRNA cancer vaccines in the works to. 'If' research shows that they save lives, we should all applaud such advancements.

Covid infections on the rise,...allegedly.
[Link]
"Covid infections are rising again across the UK, the latest figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show.

An estimated 2.3 million people or one in 30 has the virus - a rise of 32% on the week before.

The rise is being driven by two new fast-spreading sub-variants of Omicron - called BA.4 and BA.5.

People can be infected even if they've had Covid before, but jabs are helping to protect against serious illness./2 (BBC 1 July 2022)

Firstly, I dispute the figures. Data not collected in the same way as earlier in the pandemic. There is no Track and Trace (not that there ever was) and there are no home testing kits (either free or purchasable).
People I know who are vaccinated are catching Covid (and nasty too) for the second and third times.

So opening up has been the catalyst for this. Removal of masks and other restrictions and the holding of public events again. No doubt mutations are also side-stepping vaccinations and people are getting very ill again.
And yet still no (meaningful) data collection. This has the potential to get really very bad very quickly as the NHS is already starting to feel the strain.

Knighthoods and contracts have already been given. Lets just sit back and watch this smash the Summer to bits.

People are bound to get reinfected again and again over time by new variants. I'm not sure at this point that there's much we can reasonably do about it over than assume that further protection is built over time. Many of the most suseptable are unfortunately no longer with us, and those who have reason to be concerned should hopefully be offered and take boosters when available.

People are still getting boosted because they are repeatedly getting sick from an illness that the unvaccinated are not getting sick from.

f***ing clown world.

My wife has just returned from a night shift at our local hospital. Many staff off sick with Covid. Many patients have Covid, most of them being admitted for something else but testing positive on arrival. Positive patients need special treatment, which disrupts wards. She told me that her ward manager (who is relatively inexperienced herself) was in tears at one point during the night because some staff were threatening to walk unless she found them some help.

The vaccinations and previous infections are protecting most of us from serious consequences, but not the NHS from being at crisis point already. If it doubles again, as predicted, we face a very difficult few weeks. Especially here in Cornwall, where a huge visitor influx is expected.

Of course, for some, this isn't actually real!

Imagine my shock!

Just think about the sheer amount of money the mainstream media and certain scientific organizations and individuals pumped into trying to convince people that what's said here wasn't the case.

You can't 'follow the science', if the science is following the money.

Yep, despite being in a high risk group, I still haven't been sick since I caught and recovered from this back last July.

I'm not telling adults what to do with their health decisions though as that should be their own responsibility.

If the fvckers lock us down and those complaining about cost living (lockdowns), Brexit, having no answer to how long we back Ukraine and dismiss negotiations, get their own way - there is no hope & we’re all fecked. Well maybe not all of us

Worse is that covid season has in winter coincides with high energy demand n will need with all that power in Putin’s hands anyway. The problem is that, as usual, we can’t have everything, but the usual types demand it and moan like mad when they’re disappointed, including the cost of living (really cost of lockdowns) crisis. That will never change. That’s why you’re best off sorting yourself out in your younger years.

Low quality elites.

Or in other words, globalists serving the liberal world order, not their own individual countries as they were elected to do.

Hungary won't go hungry nor cold this winter as they overwhelmingly voted in social conservatives.

The science would suggest that you're likely not protected against catching newer varients at this point (other than possibly in terms of severity). So not getting it is most likely down to luck and not coming into contact with it again.

Still, although you state you're in a high risk group, I would say that how it impacted you when you did have it is a sensible point to act from (as in if you'd been hospitalised clearly getting vaccined would be important), so I can't say I blame you for not bothering. I saw the initial safety net of vaccination as important, but this far down the line, for everyone but the most vulernable or impacted, actual catching newer varients would been to be a decent natural 'booster'.
