Your first sentence doesn't make much sense to me, as I rarely post at those I have no time for.

As for the second sentence....I think your views on moral responsibility somewhat differ in some areas to mine....so what you think doesn't resonate.

Now remember politicians are honest, hard working and must be trusted to use their own common-sense. We should allow them to use their own discretion and get on with the job.

Take this Lid Dem Peer for example

I am sure certain posters will defend this to the hilt and explain it is not illegal, therefore it’s fine

Easyjet commencing some European flights from 15 June. Presumably that means our own lockdown will be lifted, or we will be in Lockdown whilst the world and his wife can trace here

You will still have to quarantine for 14 days when you return which rather puts a dampener on holiday plans.

In other news the first study into the BAME spike blames diabetes which makes sense as the rate is higher in the BAME group.

Additionally TFL is to conduct an enquiry into the number of bus driver deaths (30 so far). I shouldn't prejudge but if they are anything like my mate, he's obese and diabetic and does no exercise and drinks a lot on his off days. I suspect they will reach the same conclusion.

Papers are reported that London and the SE reported zero new infections in the last 24 hours. Assuming this is true it suggests that as London was the first into the crisis we are now hopefully leaving it with other parts of the country several weeks behind us.

The government should now be considering a regional strategy focusing on the current hotspots it also means we need this contact tracing especially in the areas which have low numbers to ensure they don't spike again.

This contact tracing app and the thousands of people recruited to implement the contacting people is only going to have a limited benefit because there will be loads of people who don’t isolate with no symptoms or mild symptoms as people gradually realise the panic and concern that our NHS would crumble has long gone. It’ll mean 2 weeks off work, sometimes self employed, or education. We’re not a very obedient and cooperative bunch like the South Koreans.

I was originally all for the app but I’m beginning to see this app as a data gathering tool now this virus is evaporating in London and a new mutation or seasonal return is the likely risk rather than a 2nd peak.

I share you concerns however if the infection rate is now at a manageable level in certain areas it would make sense to track down people who have been in contact with infected individuals.

Unfortunately the claimed quarantine measures for foreign nationals arriving are impractical and how many Brits travelling back will abide by them?

It means that anyone wanting a fortnight's holiday abroad will have to book four weeks off to allow for quarantine time and I can't see anyone doing that

Self employed etc will just go. If the missus is in when or if they get the knock at the door she’ll just have an excuse ready or call husband to drive the work van home asap and get in the shower.

We should have done this in March. I guess if people want to break the rules they will but most people I speak to just say a holiday abroad is too much aggravation at this time and I agree. I am fortunate to be able to have multiple holidays but I doubt I will travel this year. It only take 1 person on a plane coughing...

Yes agreed. But it was against freedom of movement. Same people later complain Boris didn’t act soon enough on other things, but banning all travel apart from repatriation would cut the virus at source. Instead you had part lockdown with infected people coming in.

Some holidays will have been paid for before the virus and if they’re still on, I don’t think you get a refund. Some will go.
