Sounds good in theory but in practice it wouldn't work for the same reasons socialism wont work. But the reporters are exempt from the rules to because it supports the witch hunt. Have I said that? The rules should apply to everyone, mp's, journalists, advisors, royalty, everyone. If not then what is the point of having them? (I'll stress that I didn't agree with them in the first place)

Senior Civil Servants, in my experience, are incompetent. They write policy for departments in which they have no previous experience. To say they are not politically driven is nonsense. A few years ago head of Border Force was the driving force behind Damian Green’s office being raided by the police.

So your best mate who is qualified wont be allowed to help you then. Rather someone who you dont know because they may be impartial, which incidentally is impossible as we all have an opinion.

My pension was worked out as for every year worked, I received 1/80th of my final salary. I had to work every weekend every bank holiday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day to make it a loveable amount ( as I am not eligible for old age pension yet).

If my father's instinct had told me that my family's safety depended on my breaking the rules I would have done so in an instant. in fact i have already done so as I have a family member who lives on her own in a flat and she has been staying with me for the past few weeks
