The pub in the next village to ours has turned itself into a temporary shop (the village PO & stores closed about 5 years ago) so that the locals can get at least the basics without having to travel into town, They are delivering to anyone in isolation too.......

great use of a pub, but can't see it working in Croydon

just wait till the patties and samosas run out, oh god I've been infected!

The only good thing during this is crisis is when you go out (and be careful to not get close to people, and ignorant or stupid, dirty b******s a lot of people are) is that everywhere is pretty quiet (apart from large supermarkets in the mornings) and free from the similar irritating people around today. Well they were around a week ago. Less traffic too. Shame the economy is going down the pan and the consequences for individuals.

There are lots of conflicting opinions over the virus.
This is because there is too much data, and not enough experience/knowledge about how to process the information quickly into a meaningful interpretation.

You have , essentially, 3 sources of data. The newspapers, the politicians and the scientists. And they manipulate the data to produce opinions which suit their own ends

Not going to have a go about BJ's handling of the situation. It would be hard for anyone as Prime Minister. I can't get my head around why the schools are still open though.

If you close the schools then many parents will need to pack up work in order to stay at home and look after them and those parents will include half of the nursing force as well as all of the other essential services.

The alternative is to let the grandparents look after the kids and we know where that will lead

It is closed. Not sure what it will help when there is no full shut-down.

On Friday. I think key job roles can send their children to school. Includes delivery drivers.

If you were a child of a front line worker wouldn’t you be hacked off! All your mates getting an indefinite length of time away from school
