Among 139 clients exposed to two symptomatic hair stylists with confirmed COVID-19 while both the stylists and the clients wore face masks, no symptomatic secondary cases were reported - [Link]

Who'd have thought it.

"The type of face covering used by clients varied, with the majority wearing cloth face coverings or surgical masks, and a few wearing N95 masks."

Best to wear a quality mask, but any covering is likely better than none. The overwhelming bulk of the research demonstrates that masks are effective. Tinfoil hats , not so much.

Walmart says all customers will be required to wear face masks from Monday - [Link]

No doubt they're doing so for fun not for public health. It's all politics, or something something.

Of course the politican pressure from the top in the US is to actually attack the idea of wearing a mask. That's working out great /s

Economic, and therefore political. And there are retailers who won’t be enforcing but ‘will leave it as a police matter.’ Yep, they’ll S there in an instant.

Why do you think it's in Walmarts economic interest to demand people wear masks?

‘ None of the clients reported symptoms of COVID-19 during their 2-week quarantine period. Based on that evidence, the health department and MMWR concluded that no client or coworker contracted the virus from either infected stylist. (Still, the MMWR report notes that health officials could not rule out the possibility that some clients who did not get tested for COVID-19 had asymptomatic cases.)’

How long did the stylists have Covid? After they started cutting hair again?

It seems that fighting in central London is Covid safe too going by the judgement of some.

Why do you think Tesco, Sainsburys, Lidl and JD spirts won’t be enforcing it?

I'm saying the Wallmart ARE going to enforce it. You're saying that its an 'economics' decision. Well, it's one that will to some extent probably drive people away so how does your thought even make any sense?

Anyway, Walmart here is Asda and food is essential. JD sports isn’t essential. It’ll kill the high street.

The government believes they’re economically helping the high street and politically nudging the terrified out of the house because people are wearing loose t shirts, scarves or plastic over their mouths.

I have zero idea what you're talking about. You claimed that Walmart are enforcing mask wearing for economic reasons. I'm telling you that it will likely damage their business so it hardly make sense that theyre doing it for business reasons does it.

As none of them tested positive for two weeks, it's an indication that few to none contracted it. The stylists tested positive while working and were symptomatic for an extended amount of time.

"The first stylist worked with clients for eight days while symptomatic, while the second stylist did the same for five days, the researchers wrote."

The blindingly obvious answer is that masks likely helped to protect people. There are so many examples of this kind of thing that its pointless even posting them. You're so "i'm right, you're wrong" in the face of mountains of evidence that you've lost anything remotely resembling rational thought.

As such you randomly throw some BLM protesters into the discussion inferring that I somehow approve of those mass gatherings. Yes that makes sense doesn't. Tagged on nonsense.

I must have made a typo then.
