Rudi - end of June for me.
It has been strung out too long, has cost too much and been abused beyond belief by both employers and Employees in my opinion.

Well that sounds sensible. But this long Covid is causing the cowardly hysterical bunch to lose their s*** again and not want to do anything. This includes young people you know are going to struggle finding work etc etc. Furlough needs to stop and stay stopped. Not end of October. Should’ve been end of April.

I don't think the ever changing messaging from the top helps and the contradictions. 100 millions cheap meals in pub one moment turns into no more than groups of six out together the next. Struggles to get a test without travelling half of the length of the country, contrasts with Boris mad plan to test people every week.

It was always going to be a difficult balancing act due to the nature of the problem, so while I wouldn't take the pure economic angle like Brazil, it's hard not of sympathise with the businesses impacted by the governments on/off switch mentality regarding livelihoods. Many have already been pushed to or over the edge and two there's a thought that the government might be up for round 2.

Too many naive people they’re willing to please. The market research party.

A nurse on radio this morning said 6 was too many.
Basically the only people who know how this impacts patients is her and her peers. Who was dealing with patients on HOL?
Atm the numbers are low but they will rocket and it isnt because of more tests as the ratio is the same
As when there were less tests. It is clear the positives are rising. Take your eyes off the ball and smack in the face. This unemployment rate is no worse than in the 80s and I was there along with millions. As I said I've done the beans on toast and repossession. Not much help back then but I got back on the horse. Life is that bitch. If the long term illness is even at 10% many people have very bleak future. s*** is short term.

The debt wasn’t the same and some would’ve been on busy wards for a while. Most did f*** all for 6 months.

Do you know how much these clipboard colins will cost compared to the NHS bill?

The circle I cannot square is if everyone or a huge majority is against what boris is doing in his and his party's name why would he do it.
All MPS are assumed to be self serving look after your mates etc. This recent policy/law change clearly isnt popular with joe public so why would he put himself in that position as he would have known it was going to p I s s a lot off,if not the majority. Why would he do that, I mean surely if popular votes is what he wanted he would say
" crack on and best of luck"; not f*** you lot I'm in charge so suck it up; tough.
Just asking as it is strange.

A video from Paul Weston on why anyone basing their views on governmental statistics in relation to this virus needs to reconsider in light of what's actually been going on behind the scenes.

Anyone basing their decisions on government statistics is foolish tbh. It’s moved onto ‘what about Spain and long Covid.’

All elderly people I’ve spoken to agree it’s absurd when they’re going to isolate anyway.

Spain and France have different family mixing and touching, hugging and kissing cultures and France would kiss anything if a 3-4 hour lunch was to follow.

The people at risk and those around them have got the message because the warning messages were so strong. Too strong yes. But we’re going to have unnecessary rules and otherwise useless w***ers with clipboards costing a frigging fortune trying to stop the spread of a weakened iris that isn’t getting to vulnerable people because they know or want to shield themselves. But what these fools are doing isn’t conservatism in taking people’s choice away (well trying to) of whether they do or not.

This new long Covid attempt by lockdown creatures I do not buy. The guesses of numbers, well not even numbers, just percentages, are all over the place. No mention from the NHS. Nothing. And it’s as if nobody ever had a battle after being ill before. Unfortunately too many people have had this rammed in their faces and lost all perspective. I’d go as far as to say if this was before 24 hour news and social media that we may not have even had a government press conference.

It's not only our government though. The consensus is generally worldwide. Are they all lying or just in a big club wanting to screw the world. Even the Scots have copied us and fish face would love to jump all over the tories.

When it comes to a 'why' we have had authoritarian lockdowns by many but not all European states you can find plenty of 'takes'.

I don't hold with many of them...I may have suspicions but I don't like to state them when that's what they are.

However, regarding a 'why', what I am prepared to back is the fear of accountability. A willingness to give more weight to the worst case because its adherents shout the loudest.

Essentially fear not logic has dictated the national course. For me, wherever emotion and not reason decides the route the destination is unlikely to be fruitful

Politicians all over the west were faced with a biological threat that they had no idea of how to respond to.....Hence they stuck rigidly to whatever the consensus was of their chosen medical leaders. The politicians were too scared to be held to account so they off loaded that responsibility and hid behind 'experts'.

The experts who were chosen initially had an approach I agreed with....an approach similar to Sweden's. However, they saw the reactions of fear from the media and caved to the worst case scenarios being put forward....not the most likely....but by doing this they avoided any chance of blame if it happened....they knew that ultimately the politicians would find a way of defending this approach whatever the outcome because they were in the same boat.....they knew that criticism for an over reaction was less worse than for an under reaction.

As a result untold damage and not a little long term indirect death has been inflicted. Manipulations of the truth were used....as shown in the video....to heighten fear over reality.

We haven't had the best decisions made, instead we have had the most expedient decisions. Everything is about shifting blame.

In Sweden and in most East Asian countries, the same thing happened but a different medical consensus and approach was reached......Do you notice that the media are talking far less about Sweden now...talking far less about deaths and hospitalizations and instead it's all about a rise in cases.....Well, if you're testing more that's going to happen.

Those with the microphone will present the narrative that is best for them. I lost faith in that being related to an honest appraisal a long time ago.
