When we start feeling the full economic impact of this then the Chinese government may not be getting off so lightly.

The real concern about the cover up is that the real truth will never be known and therefore the world cannot deal with ways to prevent it happening again.
china will do as they always do - stick their fingers in their ears and ignore the world except to tell us that we are wrong and that they are right.
Just utterly deflated by the reality of this.
If there was a way to stop China then the world should find that way and unite against them.

The elites are heavily invested in China and the Chinese are heavily invested into western infrastructures.

The reaction to this Chinese pandemic has been extremely favourable to the Chinese compared to how it would have been greeted if this had come from Iran for example, then the discourse would have been very different.

Not a lot of money coming from Iran influencing people in the west.

If it came from a lab I can think of no benefit to the CCP or western elites in that being known.

Essentially the west is China's b1tch and if China take on Taiwan....which is probable within the next year as they correctly judge Biden as weak and predictable....that will be illustrated to everyone plain as day.

Will to power is a truism of human nature.

10 years in prison. They have lost their f***ing minds. Three tests (four if you want to 'test' and 'release')? Why not a test every day?

Where is this advice coming from?

I never thought I'd join the "evil Tories" gang, but this government is bordering on Authoritarian Police State.

Sack Hancock. Sack every single minister and advisor nad civil servant that thinks enforced detention, mandatory testing and prison terms is a "good thing" under these circumstances.

WE. ARE. NOT. NEW. ZEALAND

If these f***wits want to relegate our standing and economy to that level, so be it. Let's have a vote on that.

f***ing idiots. No, I didn't vote for them in the last election, nor the one before that. I thought our political outlooks were aligned. Clearly not.

You're a right winger without a right wing party to vote for.

The corona power grab by the state continues as does the disastrous covid performance of the government.

The UK is, to all intents and purposes, a police state.

It's citizens are perfectly aware of the need to act responsibly over the pandemic, as they overwhelmingly do, obviously they don't want to die.

They don't need the government and its political medical advisors, at all.

Look back at the trail of disasters, even now the Health minister is telling us of a free and happy summer, what a complete t**t.

The freedoms which our citizens thought they enjoyed, will not be returned without a struggle and its debatable whether they are up to it.

Up to 10 years in prison for not declaring you visited a certain country? How about up to 10 years for carrying a knife - would probably save more lives.

What’s our options steely? We have an unelectable Labour Party, an incompetent Conservative Party and a bunch of rag tag muffins you wouldn’t let run the local charity shop. For once I am totally with you, but the options are frankly appalling.

Not one person will go to jail for sure. The option needs to be there. If some nutter has the virus and purposely infects other like some did with aids the punishment is now there for that. Also many travelers to these shores will not know how pathetic our judiciary actually is and may heed the warning. Brits wont give a s*** as we have seen with our cases and deaths. Nothing changed.
