I've always supported the creation of vaccines, these are related queries linked to your idea that people should take vaccines for others.....when, as far as I'm aware, it was never claimed that the person couldn't still transmit.

It seems rather obvious to me that the principle reason someone would take a vaccine is to safeguard themselves...again, that's no criticism from me.

As for the vaccine, no like I've said, I will look at this next year.

Maybe if people actually researched for themselves they would understand this situation.

And let's not call it a 'vaccine' it's not a 'vaccine' if you know your stuff you'd know this too.

Of course you’re taking it to protect yourself first and foremost. It’s building up your own immune system. But it also has the benefit of reducing harm to others which is even more reason to have it.

The more people we have bowling around unvaccinated the more people we have potentially carrying around stronger strains of the virus and putting themselves and others in harm’s way. I don’t think anyone should be forced to have it but it pains me that people aren’t protecting themselves because they’re choosing to believe nonsense peddled on the internet rather than medical science.

Most of the people I have spoken to that were reluctant to be vaccinated were eventually persuaded by the logic that they could be a vector to kill others. Generally older family members but also e.g. care home residents.

I was volunteering yesterday a middle aged black woman came in with her elderly frail parents who were being vaccinated. They should have been done in the spring she explained that they were reluctant to get vaccinated so she had to persuade them.

I was glad that she did for there sakes they were very frail if they caught COVID I doubt it would be a happy ending.

We are on the younger people now but I still see elderly people coming in well better late than never.

I also know people who were strong anti vaxxers at the start and have now gone very quiet on the matter I don't mind people changing their mind just as long as they get the jab.

Yesterday we have a number of people who arrived and refused to wear masks I call them attention seekers. We cannot allow them into the centre so a nurse has to go outside and vaccinate them which of course slows it down for the rest.

This guy comes in wearing a mask and breathing heavily he tells me he has COPD so doesn't like wearing a mask but that it's only for 15 minutes so he accepts it. He looked in a worse shape than the attention seekers none of whom seemed top have breathing difficulties but no doubt pulled the "I feel anxious" stunt.

Anyway the main thing is if you know someone who hasn't had the jab there is still time.

I admire what you are doing and your take on what you have seen. Despite earlier comments, most people do have a strong feeling of social responsibility. And a few focus only on themselves.
