Wonder if any of our esteemed lot are at this today.

And *we’re* the cult, apparently.

My nephew got married at The Guards Chapel, Birdcage Walk yesterday and the bride was running 30 minutes late because her car got caught up in traffic caused by this lot.

She ended up getting a police escort through the traffic when a copper spotted her in the car and eventually they got married an hour later than planned.

A good story about the Met for a change.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

The country is open outside of Dublin. Pubs are serving indoors etc.

There is nowhere here serving indoors and I'm not in Dublin. Tomorrow a lot of pubs and restaurants will be open for indoor customers. The only people allowed in will be the vaccinated ones currently. There will plenty of restrictions still. And I'm still seeing plenty of 'advisers' saying that this is too risky etc. I only saw it again on the news last night.

Come down to Cork, everywhere outside of the city is open. It hasn't been enforced in weeks.

Sounds like everyone eligible for the flu jab (or over 50) will be eligable or the booster jab, and that it will 'likely' be the Pfizer jab regardless of what you had previously.. though that's not 100% nailed on yet.

Will this one be necessary? As in, can I go to work if I don't have it? Or are we now on a new system of enforced drug taking to keep Big Pharma as wealthy as ever?

There appears to be indications that it may boost antibodies by between 5 - 10 times, which seems rather impressive. So I'd both think that it'd be a good idea for those already vaccinated to have it but would disagree with any enforcement of that. For travel purposes and whatnot, there's no doubt the government are able to twist arms..

Well, if you think it's a good idea, fill your boots, go ahead and volunteer for it. Keep the government on track to make it mandatory. Not that it will stop you from contracting it and spreading it to others. But at least you can feel at ease that you thought it was a good idea and did the right thing!

I mean, it's not like Big Pharma lobby politicians or anything.....

I was pointing out that the booster vaccine will be available and in terms of immunity is likely worth it for those vaccinated. I can see that you're rather ludicrously trying to somehow warp this into me imagining that it being mandatory is a good idea or that I'm advancing that despite the fact I've said precisely the opposite in the very message you quoted. Considering you've been vaccinated anyway, take your own advice if you're so against it all. Look for an argument where one exists.

No wonder you pulled the 'I'm not saying whether I've been vaccinated' act for so long last time. Learn to align your actions with what you profess to believe.

WTF are you on about? You say it's a good idea. Why is it worth it? We are already vaxxed. Why the need to boost it when we have only just had a jab? And can still get it and pass it on. What difference will a booster make? Why is it a good idea? How many are dying from it now? We need to build our own immunity, not rely on numerous vaccinations/boosters. Can you not see how much this will cost?

Not much profit is made per dose. But, if everyone is told to have one, it's still a massive profit. Who benefits from that?

This virus has made people too easy to manipulate, and you can't see that you are one of those. Go get your boost. Feel smug for it even. But at least question why you need a booster so soon after you had a booster.

I've never seen so much effort put into trying to conjure an argument out of thin air. As you've already been vaccinated yourself 'AND' I don't believe that vaccinations should be mandatory, you should have this argument with someone else (or perhaps yourself?). Immunity fades over time, the booster boosts immunity significantly. These are facts that people can like or not like (some may think it's a 'good idea' as I tend to believe, others may not wish to go for it.).

I've already had two vaccinations and indeed covid. I'm leading life as normal thanks. You're the one who sounds like you're losing it, who had to have their vaccination status extracted from them, and now feels that you should lecture people if they opt for a booster jab. I have the flu jab, I'll have the covid jab. I'm imparting information. You're trying to get a reaction. Not everything needs to be an argument.
