There were huge fiscal and human resources put into the moon landings.

Mythbusters did a good show on this.

Besides all the other problems in faking this.....the videotape technology of the late 1960s was not up to the job of making a fake moon landing.

This stuff was sent out 'live' on television, Back in 1969 there was not any video tape that could have recorded unbroken for long enough to create a fake version of the live broadcast of the mission from the lunar surface.

The live broadcast of the original moon landing was the most watched in history lasted around two and a half hours straight, with no gaps.

So for it to be 'faked' they would have had to fake it 'live'.....and if you're faking it, you'd not going to risk that.

I've never believed that this conspiracy stood up to examination....Most don't. However, it's never wrong to question and probe.

A far more intriguing Moon conspiracy is about the possibility of bases on the dark side.
We have photos, eye witness testimony and the hacking of files pertaining to off-world personnel and let's not forget the alleged 'aliens' seen by Armstrong and co during the Apollo 11 mission.

Far fetched?

Chem trails, I'm willing to believe but not to the extent I will investigate it for any solid proof or knowledge base.

Not sure that is correct. I saw an interview with Dr Van Allen and he was asked that question. His response was that if you stayed in the Van Allen belt for 2 weeks it would do you harm but a rocket passes through the belt in a matter of seconds so in his oponion no danger at all.

Did Dr Van Allen have a German accent? There is a theory the Americans repatriated a number WW2 German scientists in secret to stop the Russians getting hold of them. They formed the nucleus of scientist working at NASA working on space missions.

Armstrong saw stuff up there? A very honest and straight forward man....I'll have to look into that.

I have heard a conspiracy that there are people who actually believe that JFK, his brother and MLK were all killed by lone nutters.

Surely that is too far fetched.

Haven’t read this thread until just now and believe me I’m one of those who generally doesn’t buy into the whole conspiracy theory thing but this is literally the only example I don’t believe...

As a man who has been trained in and used firearms I know how difficult they are to use (it’s not like in the films!)

I’m aware Lee Harvey Oswald went through basic training in the Marines but let’s look at the facts...

Someone... got off four rounds on a moving target from 200 metres away and connected with three of those rounds... And a head shot is included in that...
I cannot stress enough how difficult that is and requires somebody of extreme skill.... Extreme skill!!

No way was it Lee Harvey Oswald!

I, like many many others, looked into the JFK conspiracy theory over years in the nineties after Stone's movie.....I started off believing that there must have been a conspiracy.

At the end of that research I was pretty confident that Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK and that there wasn't another shooter.

It is a weird one Stirling I’ll admit... And from what I’ve watched on it, and I may be a bit naive here I do struggle with why people would want JFK assassinated (I’ve always been under the impression he was popular as a President??)

For me it was simply the skill involved in the assassination... I’m sure any ex forces on here, you may even be yourself will agree that hitting a moving target from 200 metres away with 3 out of 4 rounds and one of those being a headshot is on a level with extreme marksmanship..

It was reasonably accurate marksmanship but then again it was a slow moving target and he had set up for the shot with a rifle he knew.

I remember reading that Oswald made the shots with Kennedy no further than 80-100 metres away not two hundred.

And Bobby? MLK? The shooting of Oswald by Jack Ruby?

All of these killings were just a spate of lone killers I suppose.
The shooting of Oswald tells you all you need to know.

It was a mob killing probably ordered by Sam Giancana.

Never looked into Bobby and MLK but nothing around Ruby's involvement was that unusual when you look at it.

If the mob had killed Kennedy it would have leaked.....besides, Oswald wasn't involved with the mob, he had far more connections with Russia and Cuba.
