I genuinely don't know how Taylor can be considered one of the best referees - it doesn't say much for the rest. I thought he was poor yesterday. The second half incident when Wilf was fouled on the edge of the Watford penalty area could have been swiftly dealt with by giving a yellow card ( merited ) to the defender. Instead he took no action which resulted in tempers boiling over on both sides, at which point he had no control. And that contributed to the 5 minutes added on at the end of the game. I rest my case , he (Taylor ) was poor again. In a game where there is plenty of recent bad feeling between both sides, he didn’t have a handle on it.

I thought Taylor was poor yesterday when it came to Wilf incidents. People have already mentioned Wilf's booking for a first innocuous offence, but soon after Taylor missed a clear trip on Wilf. I got the impression he simply has it in for Wilf given previous issues in Palace matches.

Didn’t see the bellboy/PVA incident from my vantage point, what happened? Sorry for the delayed reply: Very late in the game, Watford got a corner. A ball boy did his job but as he picked the ball up, a Watford player (almost certainly Capoue) snatched the ball from the kid's hands and had a go at him. The ball boy stood up to him (to his huge credit) by clearly defending that he was just doing his job. PVA stepped in but within seconds 'Capoue/A.N.Other' threw the ball at PVA and then pushed him hard in the chest.
