I feel it is enevitable that all games will be behind closed doors.
I have 2 tickets for the Burnley match which I dont think will be allowed to attend, I would rather then a refund be carried over to a match next season as an option.
Dont have BT Sport or Sky so not sure how would watch any streamed match unless all went free to view somehow which isn't going to happen.

Its pointless just suspend the league, will be lucky to get a couple of games behind close doors before the players get it anyway.

This is absolutely right. One of the main hopes for stopping the spread is the onset of spring and getting people outside where the germs will disperse rather than having them congregated inside in crowded areas. Course the problem is also people getting to and from games on crowded tubes, trains etc.

I haven't seen those reports and in fact the medical expert on Radio 5 this morning said that it was safer to go to a football match than it was to crowd into a pub to watch it as the virus doesn't travel as well outside

I'm pretty sure that's just misguided speculation. Blackout serves no purpose in this situation.

I was just trying to explain why the directive is currently in place.
IF the situation evolves into a "Behind closed doors" scenario then of course there will be no negative affect on attendances!
I really don't know if the "Blackout" will still apply and perhaps any comment that it WILL might be pure speculation.

Getting coughed on by 20,000 infected people is probably safer than stepping within 10 feet of the Arthur Waite toilets

Playing the matches behind closed doors seems totally wrong to me because that arrangement is associated with punishment (e.g. Croatia v England in the Nations Cup etc.)
Also, given the postponement of the Citeh v Arsenal match, how long before other games are postponed because other players have to self-isolate?
It seems to me that sooner or later we may need to go the Italy route and simply postpone several rounds of matches and then when will the season end? (I believe Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and La Liga are today asking for the 2020 Euros to be postponed for a year - will be interesting to see what happens and what happens to those countries domestic leagues).
We are certainly living in interesting times.

Maybe they could call in those 'expert' pools predictors instead..........

The bit in red. . . .

All EPL teams have to have a registered 25 1st team players, plus they are also allowed to play kids/youth in any game they deem fit.

Now, my point, IF a club has a tummy bug/coughs or shytes, the EPL/FA wont allow that club to postpone a game just cause they have 2/3/4/6 players out, you Have to put the 'strongest' team out possible to fulfill the fixture(no exceptions), SO, why the difference?

La Liga, have now postponed 2 rounds of matches across the board because a Real Madrid BASKETBALL player has been diagnosed with 'corona'(virus, NOT the drink)

This is NOT a dig at your post Doombear, just adding to it
