Well there certainly wont be games behind closed doors. The football has only been suspended (against government advice) to protect the players and staff.
The players, by the way, being the very least likely group to get a bad reaction to he virus.

The decision about how to move forward will be based on the ulterior motives to the clubs. I suspect those in risk or relegation will join forces with the top 5 to declare that positions stay or such like. The teams in the middle of the table will not really care. It is only Bournemouth and Villa that would feel hard done by so would be out-voted. Completely unfair but how it might go.

With 9-10 prem games remaining, there only needs to be two games a week and the season would be over in 4 weeks from the first kick-off day of the resumption. I expect that to happen. Apparently, the football authorities are thinking of finishing the season's fixtures between July and September.
I will be surprised if the full league season is not completed at some point. The potential litigation problems otherwise don't bear thinking about. if anything has to go it will be the FA Cup, the European cup competitions with the Euro 2020 being postponed for a year.

no no no all wrong you must look at it logically Liverpool season becomes well it didn't happen. lge winners 2020 blank we lost out when we finished 3rd when they changed the rules to allow Liverpool's in Europe with 8 games to go calmer

Players aren't secured creditors as only companies or people that have a charge over the company's assets are secured ie banks and finance companies.

We have to hope that any hiatus won't affect Manchester United's ability to pay us the remaining £25m that they owe us for AWB

We are secured creditors of Manchester Utd.

Don’t count on that. The government are about to ban all large gatherings everywhere. The premier league has just acted in advanced of that because playing squads and management teams have caught the virus. And then it’s not about contracting the virus but stretching and availability of emergency services. Police must be gutted their easy overtime shifts might be lost.

My point is the government hadn't banned large gatherings when the football was suspended. It was only because Arteta & Hudson-Odoi contracted the virus and a few other players self-isolated at Leicester etc. If games had been played this weekend and maybe next surely it would make it easier to finish the season over the Summer.
Playing behind closed doors is a greater danger to the public because it is much easier to catch the virus in a confined space like a pub than it is in an open space like a stadium.

Then it was Leicester players, Everton players, Watford players, which could keep happening.

Even before that there should have been no hospitality, no mixing players with anyone. No fans, opposition owners. Nobody. This was achievable. It happened at Blackburn when they got changed down the road when the ground was being redeveloped. Could be done everywhere with showering and changing in the stadiums.

When we went into administration all football debts had to be settled.

That doesn't make us secured creditors though

I'd rather follow the example of the premier league than that pr*ck in Number 10.

Depending on how the virus escalates over the next 3 weeks, I think I'd rather have matches played behind closed doors than not at all. I can't see why the matches can't be televised though? Surely, government has authority to ask broadcasters and the PL to waive restrictions in the event of an emergency? They wouldn't be the only sectors having to make a sacrifice in the circumstances.
