Quarantine everyone for three weeks, free essential food delivered once a week by the police/army and test people at the end of quarantine.

At least the shortage of space in prisons can now be sorted. There's going to be so many empty cruise ships around the Government can stick literally thousands of wrong'uns on a Carnival liner and moor them somewhere between the Isle of Wight and France.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

So,

Do we let the illness run its course and kill the financial burdens on society ? (less strain on pension pots and the NHS.

Yes all part of Boris’ plan to balance the books. Let it run its course, wipe out 500k+ oldies that are of pensionable age. Hey presto NHS can now cope again and Boris has reduced his ongoing liabilities by 3 billion+ a year

I think we should have a Desert Island disc top 5 as we're going to be quarantined. Just to make it fun the 5 songs must be virus related:

1. Fever - Peggy Lee
2. Subterranean Homesick Blues - Bob Dylan
3. Dizzy - Tommy Roe
4. I Can’t Stand Up For Falling Down - Elvis Costello
5. Shaking All Over - Johnny Kidd and the Pirates

Nice one, stiff upper in troubled times, if any one else needs an uplifting distraction Vincent Price is currently starring in The Masque of the Red Death on the Horror Channel, one of my favourite Hammer productions.

I think that's pretty much the government plan anyway.

Plan? ... the government has a plan???

Our politicians and Ministers "work" from Monday lunchtime to Thursday evening and they'll be breaking up for Easter soon.

Don't expect a decision on anything until after the Easter hols on a Tuesday in May.

Do you want to be 'told' what to and how to act or do you want to be advised and make your own judgement on this advice.
It seems some want telling so they have someone to blame, when no one living on this planet has ever seen this scenario.
How can you make a plan.
All countries doing different things in different ways.
Who knows which is the best way.
Maybe some would prefer to be totally kept in the dark and make there own mind up on information they havent been given in the first place.
Personally I am worried for me and mine and am following the advice given.
You can make your own plan,no one is stopping you.
