As a personal protest I will not watch MOTD tomorrow evening, that will really shake the BBC. Unless Palace beat Man City of course. Looks like I had better find something else to do.

Ian Wright is stepping down from Match of the Day in "solidarity" with Lineker. As already mentioned, it'll probably be Alex Scott appearing on the show. She's another virtue signaller. At the World Cup she smugly wore the rainbow armband after the captains of various teams were banned from wearing them.

It is just froth. As a career move, probably ideal for him and part of me does wonder if he maybe engineered this by way of the publicity? Never quite understood why he justified the salary he did but that could be sent with entire swathes of people employed by the BBC.

Remember, the BBC and it’s Tory donor chairman who facilitated a loan to the then prime minister without disclosing it, are definitely biased against the right. Regardless of your politics, the government pressuring the state broadcaster to silence a voice because they are critical of government policy should be a major concern.

Surely a total boycott of the country would have been better? Perhaps money talks.

The real double standards would be if say, Alan Sugar was tweeting against Corbyn and Mick Lynch and faced absolutely no consequences, but someone who works for the same employer is critical of government policy and is treated differently. We could all agree that’s a double standard. But remember, the BBC hate the right.
