I suppose you earn that respect. Well one does or the Royal 'we' does. It takes a bit of getting used to as well. I find the National Anthem a bit strange presently.

I am not sure I will ever get used to it. The Queen was part of my life for all I can remember and Charles was always her rather odd son, lacking the empathy that emanated from the Queen.

For me, he is still Charles. The title might have changed, but that's all. Only when William becomes King will a really new era begin. A fresh new look, with a King who has his mother's touch with a Queen who captures hearts rather than draws suspicion.

Watching the news yesterday and much of it was about King Charles visit to Germany.

When will he stop being referred to as King Charles and just be referred to as the King as whenever the late Queen did something she was always referred to as the Queen and not Queen Elizabeth

‘king Charles?

Plenty of headlines and stories on the main news page on their website today including the Royal Family slavery link study.
As hard as I looked there was nothing on Sturgeon.
Disgraceful - defund the BBC!

Russians regard their old Ladas like we would a vintage English sports car.

Under Brezhnev they produced a special Lada for the English market with disk brakes independent suspension and go-quickly stripe.

It went on sale for £3250, the ads featured Cannon & Ball.

Russians imported their old Ladas back from the west they loved them.

The very few that could afford a car didn't have much to choose from!

I agree entirely, although Charles' obvious flaws do make him somewhat human.

I didn't remember seeing much about that woman stabbed by an Islamic at Speakers Corner neither.

Selective news coverage.

No mention by the BBC of at least 50 Christian men, women and children hacked to death by Muslim zealots in a number of villages in Nigeria either. Imagine if it had been the other way round - not at all likely of course as Christian zealots tend not to hack people to death.

The suppression of news is as worrying as the political propaganda pushed out. Not just the BBC, but seemingly in most outlets.

The absolute suppression of the provocative political stance putting the Northern Ireland Good Friday agreement on the line. All nicely swerved with the headline "Police on high alert for Republican return to arms". Look at the politics causing this situation in NI, and not just chuck it all at the Republicans.

And what is happening in Eire , with all their newly-acquired immigrants,? the protests in Dublin ?

The protests by Israeli's about their own Government, who meanwhile soldiers are still killing Palestinians and grabbing land.

Meanwhile , in the real news, some person who's been on television is seen in a bikini somewhere hot. Oh , and there's a lot of traffic on the road this weekend.
