Thanks for reminding this

In a couple of years time there will be loads of little girls called Korona (with a "K" and loads of little boys called Covid.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

Cruise will be a thing of the past. Apart from people being more wary of them for a couple of years at least, Carnival the cruise ship operator aren't eligible for a Government bail-out in the US as they're registered in Panama to escape paying tax and getting around minimum wage regulation. As are a number of cruise lines, apparently.

Incorporating offshore may have seemed a good idea at the time, but not so much when you need the taxpayer's help.

Oh, and a barrel of oil is now cheaper than a pint of beer in Canada.

It is pretty much the working definition of the Dublin Convention, which was encoded into national law of all EU members (without a vote in any of their parliaments, of course) as an EU regulation.

It is the responsibility of the first EU state a refugee enters to register them.

UNHCR definition. Basically you should seek safety in the first safe haven. Which, in my book, doesn’t involve travelling throughout Europe and beyond just to get access to the NHS and benefits. Vast majority are most definitely economic migrants

Vast majority are male or female ?

the Post-Corona World will probably see Governments placing a lot of stock on community cohesion. Cos that has already been strained with everybody asked to hide at home for the common good.

Shame, not much totty in there. Which should, of course, not be in any way a consideration.

I can see the world morphing already, though i have no idea if changes are permanent, or what the eventual outcome will be.

More centralised media control by the Government.

More centralised control of public services.

Growing reliance on IT/social media as travel restrictions begin to grip on a global basis.

Morphing on a large scale of shopping, social and leisure activities.

Manipulation of the population. Let's all go outside and clap into the air at 8pm today,....like that's going to do any f-king good.

That is what you might have got if Comrade Corbyn had got in.
A growing reliance on IT is inevitable irrespective of pandemics.

Perhaps the ultimate irony really. Unemployment going up, state borrowing through the roof and a massive crackdown on civil liberties. He would be partying like it was 1917.

People who sit at home doing nothing but paid more than working people.

And given virus risks, better longevity for the slackers.

Corbyn's wet dream
