That is what I use, as I am old and my hearing not as good as it was and mumbling actors I have a small transmitter plugged into my Freeview box and Blutooth headphones and the sound is great.

Hi yes it has amplify setting voice music and standard also a movie setting flicking between these doesn't seem to make a lot of difference

It seems that in most modern films and tv dramas the cast talk, or mumble, to each other such that the viewer is almost left trying to overhearing someone else’s conversation. In older productions the cast tended to project towards the audience. Maybe that was less realistic and intermate but at least you could hear and understand what was being said.

Good point. Bluetooth headphones would do the job. Sadly they’d block out the missus ...
