I enjoyed it. Always good to have an excuse to watch a bit of old footage.

It ended up leading me to this... [Link]

Can't think of many games where we've scored such a good collection of goals.

Brilliant. I remember how gutted I was that Wolves got the draw at Selhurst, and then this...

The Mrs will join in not because its St Georges in particular but that it will be wine time again . Its been wine time since Christmas (1980 ) or should that be whine time .

Fecking piss head neads to slow down a bit ,I brought her a rowing machine and told her to loose some weight but its still in the box , £299 if anyones interested . Its got Velcro foot straps but I think it was a bit of a rip off .

Happy St Georges Day !

Lets all send a 'Happy St George's Day, for Harry and for England'' message to the ex Shadow Attorney General.

She spunked her political career with her anti English racism.

less of a myth than Robin Hood for sure, prob less so than King Arthur, a cr*p patron saint to go with our cr*p national anthem and our cr*p sense of patriotism

St George slays the dragon, it's not meant to be historically accurate, just as Santa Claus isn't meant to be a accurate depiction of St Nicolas's life.

You have a deep dislike of nationalism....noted.

the dragon bit's a myth I grant you, as for the man himself the Catholic Church canonises human beings not myths, and I'm fine with the right type of nationalism when it's about the actual population, like the way Australians are patriotic, and not some propagandising set of icons or nostalgia for Empire, actually I do prefer countires like Belgium, Denmark, Portugal or Canada who are proud of their countries but don't think they're a race apart like some places ... don't Rangers fans say 'We are the People' - French, Americans, Russians, Poles, Brits can have this superior pride, while other nationalities are less afflicted - I've got Czech heritage - Velvet Revolution and Divorce, one death in all that commotion and they reckon that was a set up, compare that to what used to be Yugoslavia, I prefer my nationalism lite.

There's an interesting discussion about nationalism there but I'm no longer the guy to provide that on this website.
