It’s a cut and paste from some article retrieved via Google, so will have been a typo from the original material.

Nobody has come out of this looking particularly good, but maybe that's best left to a thread in news/politics.

If only.

So was I, cryrst. Right behind and above the goal. It replays in my mind even to this day, in slow motion - which was pretty much the speed at which it occurred!

Emboldened by the Palace fightback, I made the return trip a few days later for the League Cup tie, in which needless to say we were s***e; but we weren't helped by a dreadfully biased referee and an appallingly bad lineslady.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

I too was at The Dell with my Dad for our 2-3 win. Wearing our all blue away kit, I remember Wrighty having a right rant at his team mates, especially Geoff Thomas midway through the first half and the Southampton fans going Ooooooohh at Wrighty's outburst. He was fired up as usual and played a blinder scoring twice and Bright got the winner.

A great recollection.

I did the cup game as well.
If you look at clubs fixtures ( a bit of a diversion) a league and a cup game one after the other do happen a few times a season. Strange quirk
