No this doesn't count because he's got his back to the goal and is moving out of the area. Have you forgotten already the precedent set by Alan Gunn and Jimmy Hill in May 1990?!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

No not heard of that but sounds like an interesting state if you wish to enlighten.

I just wondered if the stat was just another piece is media scouse propaganda
Like it's great all their wonderful fans that never do anything wrong think it ok to go out celebrating when there is a pandemic.
Who will they blame the spike in Merseyside covid outbreak if there is one ?

They're not happy unless they're blaming some one

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

It was just an attempt at ironic humour aimed at those who remember the 1990 FA Cup Final replay Geoff Thomas denied a stonewall penalty.

On your other point...if indeed there is a covid spike in Liverpool as a result of the behaviour of a load of pissed scousers, I expect we will then have years of "fighting for justice" to look forward to.

Sorry missed that reference went right over my head.

So the question is still, did opta get it wrong?
Just curious as always wondered just how accurate opta stats are .
