Desperation deal what the club he has gone to will do is wait until he is out of contract and get him for free so Palace has just gone and wasted a load of money on him for nothing.

Terrible business

Would of been better of loaning him to lower league club in this country.

None of us know but I suspect that given his performances for us, there wont have been a huge number of clubs queuing up to sign him. Therefore this was probably the best deal that we could have got. Before this loan, if a club had offered £7 million, or just £7, most to here would have expected us to have accepted just to get him of the wages.

I've nothing against Sorloth but he looked poor every time I saw him play for Palace. Similar to Pat Bamford. I've never seen him play in Turkey, perhaps he's changed or perhaps the quality is as poor as others have mentioned.

I don’t know if Sorloth is good enough for the Premier League and he didn’t impress me in his limited opportunities.
However, no striker has really impressed in Hodgson’s system where teammates rarely play in support of or close to the striker and crosses are a rarity.
Ayew has had limited success this season but has had to carve out his own opportunities in the main.

As far as Sorloth, is concerned Trabzonspor hold all the aces, he can only return if he requests a move back or the club are not happy with him (unlikely on both accounts). Some press reports say the Palace can pay a fee to get him back and they did try to get him back in January without success. The only people responsible for players contracts are Parish and Freedman. Roy perhaps has some responsibility in not giving Sorloth a good chance and playing him in the right position. The other player who is a centre back that we also have on loan at Rakow is Jach, he is a defender in his mid 20s, with our aging defenders he should be back here getting first team experience, I think he may be due back right now but won't be able to play currently because of the loan deal.

Yikes, thought we had got rid of him ages ago. Only recruited to make up the numbers in training like the other guy who never played at the same time. Sorloth had a few chances in the Cups but never looked like cutting it based on those appearances.

Hodgsons system, yup. We know that system and it never changes.

... for someone else in a lesser league. I'd rather take Ayew to Specsavers!

Even Ronaldo would struggle in our system

He'd be playing in the holding midfielder role.
