Roy had 30 minutes at 1-0 down to make some changes and get something from the game. Instead he stood there looking gormless.

Burnley were down to the bones and had to put 2 GKs on the bench. They were playing 6 defenders most of the second half. We should have gone 3 at the back and tried to widen the attack.

Negative tactics and inflexible game management sum up Roys career. Oh and 28 goals in 32 games is pathetic.

What a difference a week makes

We were 9th unbeaten in four with 0 conceded.
People talking about Europe !

Today - Thankful we have 42 points and 15 above drop zone.

Anyone who put money towards the Academy needs to ask for refund. Why not give youngsters a run out, couldn’t have done any worse

Good point. Whats the use of having an academy when we don't play them. Wan Bassaka only came through because every other full back was injured. Those kids must know they wont get a game and the chance of them getting near the first team are zero. What a toothless display from our team of old men.

Here are the positives as I see them:

I haven’t got to drive home round the south circular.
For once I can’t moan about the lack of value for money as I have a refund for my 3 season tickets on the way.
I can have a couple of beers to numb the pain as I don’t have a commute in the morning so can get up at 8.30 and not be late for work.
As for the football at least we put them under some pressure in the second half, but we never looked like scoring.

Most of us have been saying the same thing for some years

We need a creative midfielder
We need a striker that scores goals

The season will fade away now ,nothing to play for ,no enthusiasm from the crowd …..

silence

And we still need a striker

Please play some of the younger players, I dont mind losing, just want to see some interesting football. Luca, Ayew, Wilf, Joel, Pat, Andros - just not good enough tonight.

Would love us to get Dyche in and move Roy into some role where he has absolutely no involvement once the game has started. His in-game management is absolutely appalling for a manager of his experience.

With no crowd you hear Ray Lewington - reminded me of Mike Bassett.

Let’s be honest with ourselves we are blessed to be not fighting relegation.

With the lack of investment in the squad, the oldest squad in the division, 1 right back, basically no strikers. Our injuries list this season this year was horrific earlier on.

We are not ready for Europe so il take 12th place.

Couldn't agree more, Even if Dann or Cahill went up as a target man to cause a nuisance in the last 5 or 10 minutes, tactics just seemed to lack hunger. As for those saying about the academy if I was to pick any team for our young wingers to run at it would be Burnley.

What must the youngsters, some who may have some talent, think when none has been given a chance at any time this season? Why the feck would thay want to stay at Palace?

If youngsters are blocked from coming through, someone tell me the point of having an academy?

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

Gotta question what value he adds on the touchline. Could only hear Ray Lewington.
No tactical changes no subs.

First half same as ever, no one on the pitch who can pass the ball. We improved as soon as McCarthy came on then unfortunately got sucker punched.

Mayer, like when he came on against Brighton seemed to add a more creative ball, but should have come on for anyone but Townsend.

If they are sticking everyone behind the ball, keep a player who can shoot from distance on the pitch.

Two subs from a possible 5 is just criminal. Add some pace, try and get through.

Same Hodgson tactics as used to bore people to death as England manager. The opposition have stuck everyone behind the ball, so we just pass it left to right. Learnt nothing from the Liverpool game, when we say back, they stuck in high balls which drop into space.

Lacklustre tonight and we had 70% of the play and managed to lose. Guita had nothing to do the entire game. Feels like we are going through the motions and just want the season to end.

This is the truth and the reaction on these boards to the manager every time we lose a game are embarrassing. Thought I was looking at an Arsenal or West Ham forum.
