Having Batshuari or RLC would be nice, it was a shame about Tosun's injury. I can’t agree with this. We have 1 actual striker at the club and when he is not injured he can’t score. We have 1 right back. Townsend is on a serious decline. We had parts of this season where we struggled to get a full team on the pitch. Yes, Roy has his faults but we have massive problems with this squad. With all that has gone on this season with injuries and lack of cover in certain positions, there is no other manager that would have kept us up. The reason we are staying in the division this year and the last couple is Roy’s tactics. They may be boring but they will keep us safe.

His CV is respected but, these were many years ago. I'm all for consistency but he's beyond his best years. Done well on a budget with injuries but, given these issues you'd expect any manager with sense to raid the academy & allow them a chance but he flatly refuses to. In a window with few signings most of us raved about Camarasa only for him to be left out in the rain to rot & then we have Sorloth, so poor he's farmed out to Turkey where he's banging in goals for fun & his price soars. Might not have had much money to spend but he could at least make full use of everything we have.

We've not really had a decent attacking option since we've been in the Premiership. Benteke is the only striker who managed to get over 10 goals in a season. Murray was possibily our best option but was injured and ageing. Gayle was ok, otherwise we've been relying on the likes of Chamakh and Campbell, or Wickham (always injured).

Under Pardew we had to play with Kelly at left back for 6 months after Soaure's crash.

Watch last night's Bournemouth vs Newcastle. You can see how bad Bournemouth were hence, when they played us on Saturday last week it just made us/Roy looked good.

No. No way. He has worked miracles with the squad he has, and the lack of support in the transfer market. I'm not saying every game is a joy to watch, but we're Crystal Palace! Why would we expect that? We're closer to Europe than relegation at the moment, what more should we (realistically) hope for?
