I see that he holding talks with Newcastle, nothing definite yet though. I wonder if we really p**sed him off last season by going for Batsuayi at the last min instead. Which raises the question, who made that decision to go for Batsuayi instead of Gallagher. He was hardly one of Roy's favourites and he could not get game time at all.

Well that's not saying much. Batshuayi and Mateta were both hardly used, but both proved they should have been picked more often.

Mateta was woeful against Leeds in his first full start but then scored that neat back heel against Brighton, but did little else and failed to impress in the few substitute appearances he had. When Benteke came on he also did the business and subsequently performed well in the remaining games with a solid goal return. Consequently, I would like to know what Batshuayi and Mateta did to PROVE that they deserved more starting chances
