It's one or the other.

If we take Gallagher on loan we can't have Bat unless we buy him. However if it is true that Chelsea will offer Bat a new contract on £100k per week then we are out of the picture I can't see us paying those wages for a loan player.

I too have played competitive football in my youth and regularly discuss transfers with the President of a football club which was involved in the Champions League in 2013 and is now reorganizing in the 3rd division.

I've written the following and have been right in 99% of cases. If proof of the future is not enough, then I don't know what is.

And if you want to see them all, I made a compilation. It might seem like child's play, but I urge you to actually analyze it through until the end and you will see that it is in fact a proof of making money like no other.

You asked what recommends me, please don't call me a show-off.

Maybe you should offer your services to Brentford, they are more open minded towards the transfer market.

I wouldn’t dream of calling you a show off. I don’t insult people on here. All that is great but my question is ‘why would the Palace board listen to you?’ They probably have no idea who you are and do, I imagine, get representations from all sorts of nutters.
Your claim to be better qualified than any ex-pro is very laudable - but they know the ex-pro and probably don’t know you. That’s sort of my point and I have no idea how you can change that. (Short of taking the scouting qualifications via the FA and starting at the bottom).

I am sure we would prefer to have Gallagher on loan than Bats, as you say. Bats is still a very good striker, but he would still cost quite a lot , over £15m maybe (my guess) plus still significant wages. So personally I don't think it's realistic for us to buy Batshuayi

We can only loan one from Chelsea so I assume Bats has now become a possibility and we are holding off on CG. It makes sense. We should be using our loan spots for developed players who can instantly make an impact and we could potentially sign.

Bats is a position we need a player in, he knows the squad there is a realistic possibility of us signing him permanently if the deal is right in the future.

Suits Chelsea more as well as he is on much bigger wages and even if we covered half we would be giving Chelsea more than if we covered all of Gallgher’s.

It would seem that’s where Palace , find themselves. In many ways this is the Palace ,dilemma . Because there are two sides of realistic. Palace realistically need a striker of Bats , quality if they are to progress to any great degree. If that’s that’s not the case you could say it’s not realistic to expect much beyond what has been achieved for Palace, so far. Without goals we are going to struggle. Gallagher, is a good acquisition , even for a year . But we are crying out for goals, few would argue that is not a reality. Maybe loaning a proven striker could be viewed as realistic, if only short term. But the reality is it would be a sticking plaster. We need one on the books for a few years, that’s the reality.
We have a team that can make chances, Note yesterday new signings should reinforce that , actually netting is still missing from the cake.

I think that any loan is a sticking plaster. But what do we desperately need more of, another midfielder when we have Kouyate, Jairo, Luka, the 2 maccas who all play there, as well as Max, Eze and Schlupp who can also play in the middle or a striker when we have only got An injured Benteke and a perennially crook Wickham as well as Ayew who can play there too. If we can’t get one in for good, then getting a proven performer who knows the squad, manager and club is a good deal.

Ok. But enough about me, there is already another thread in which someone cites lobg texts just to show that I write too much.

Let's get back to the other U21 players who were in the natoonal teams the other day.

How about from the England national team?

From center forward down, cause it's more engaging:

Center forwards:

Nketiah- would be great, but can't have him. Arsenal rely on him this season.

Ryan Brewster- possible, but only on loan, Livwrpool wouldn't sell yet, so we'd just be raising a player with no investment income. Also, still very young and unproven for the PL.

Wingers:

Hudson Odoi- would not come here, as he has recently been on the radar of Bayern and Barcelona.

Reiss Nelson- could be surpluss to requirements at Araenal, but would cost too much.

Sessegnon- would not come here.

Bukayo Saka- involved with Arsenal's first tram and not for sale from what I know for next season. To keep an eye on though (left footed).

Cantwell- for me he is a central midfielder (in his youth) who happened to play some good matches at left wing. He is a lot older than the others, going on 23. His price is huge for what I think he offers.

Central midfielders:

Bellingham- 17 year old, just signed for Borussia Dortmund.

Tom Davies- I don't rate him highly, certainly not at the price Everton would be asking.

Josh da Silva- yes, good central midfielder

Gallagher- another good centtal midfielder, but Chelsea never seels cheap.

Skipp- I don't know much about the Tottenham player, haven't seen him play much.

Fullbacks:

Max Aarons- an often spoken name here. Not a bad player, but they ask too much for him imo.

Justin James- now this kid was not very expensive- Leicester paid 6.5 million for him and he is pretty good for a 22 year old.

Tariq Lamptey- Brighton fullback, Chelsea graduate, they paid 3 million for him, haven't seen him much, very young still at 19, he seems pretty short, don't know if he stopped growing.

Center halfs:

Ben Godfrey- good center back just got reelgated with Norwich, maybe doesn't cost that much, but we have plenty there.

Liam Lelly- similar, relegated with Bournemouth, can play left back too, but cost them 15 million last summer, so they'd want a big fee.

Jonathan Panzo- still very young, tried his luck with French giants Monaco and will this seeason play for Dijon, having cost them just 3 million.

Marc Guehi- haven't seen him play much in the Championship, but apparently he's pretty good and with Chelsea giving yojngsters like Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Tomori chances, he might make the strp up. Or they may sell him and get good money, as Chelsea always does.

Goalkeeper:

Ramsdale-
Just signed with Sheffield for a lot of money after a good season at his age, despite rrlegation.

Recent call-ups:

Mason Greenwood- not gonna happen, already with the main national team

Sam Surridge- interesting and cheap center forward, to keep an eye on

Eze- already bought

McNeil- not worth what they're askkng for

Foden- not going to come here

Diangana- signed by WBA for 13 million, pretty promising but bot a certainty imo.

Willock- involved with the Arsenal first team.

Reece James- Chelsea won't sell.

Everyone is welcome to their opinion, but personally I am more interested in 'hard rumours' - if there is su+h a thing!
