After Wilfs goal they came to life and in the end played more like we all expect them to and made a game of it. Feel my 9.99 was worthwhile after all. Seen two goals scored including one by CB - and they are as rare as hens teeth. !

sh1t defensive mistakes combined with inability to convert simple chances. Chelsea took their easy chances and defended smarter than us. In all fairness to our team we didn't look far off them. We deserved a point. Guaita poor form is worrying - another bad mistake today when he flapped and fell over to an admittedly powerful shot on the near post. I guess Man City will not be after him now. Nor will they be thinking PVA's defensive work is good enough. People seem to be able to ghost past him at ease.

last 60 minutes of respectable entertaining football. Actually looked like they cared for a change. I'm getting a glimmer of hope for the Villa game now. or is it Lucy and the football?

Only got ourselves to blame. Chelsea’s were on the ropes and we dropped off, giving them around 70-80% possession over the 80-90th minute period. Not good enough! The chance was there to get a very much deserved draw from the game but substitutions were negative and too late. At 3-2 with 10mins to go, we should be looking at taking defensive players off for someone more attack minded. Or push PVA upfield into the Schlupp position and play 3 at the back. Or take ward off for Pierrick. Just do something. Chelsea’s were very average, huge slice of luck for the first goal and a relatively soft third (Ward to blame). To be honest, that isn’t going to change until the manager does.

Seems we still have a bit of life left in us this season. Man Ure and Spuds last chances to roll over the big boys. COYP !!

Much much better. Unlucky at the end not to get the equaliser as it would have been completely deserved.

My only gripe would be Meyer should have been on for Luka the second Benteke pulled one back.

All in all though a genuinely entertaining Palace match. Now we'll have knackered ourselves out for Villa

Let's hope more of the same on Sunday.

Massive improvement on the last few games and we were very unlucky not to get something from that game. My main complaint today is the same as it has been all season which is our shocking ability to keep the ball. We just struggle with simple passing. Hopefully we can go on now and get a couple off wins before end of season.

Credit where credit is due. Well played (almost) everyone - Ward can not find a team mate with passes, Ayew horrible today, but Dann/Sakho very solid.
Shame Willian did not show any sportsmanship - remember Canio for West Ham vs Everton?
Kharma for Willian when PVA hit him straight in face - he should not have stopped tough.

I thought we performed well today overall, although clearly our defence is a worry. We are shockingly flimsy at the back as that shows with 11 goals (I think) in last 4 games conceded.

I have no issue losing to Chelsea, it was incredibly unfortunate to lose the first goal like we did - and also sad to see Cahill out for probably, our last 5 games, but it frustrates me so much that Roy refuses to change anything.

It's the same story every week but his lack of ability to change to formation, style of play, or trust in his bench is so clear to see. Luka and Kouyate could barely move but stayed on for 88mins/didn't come off.

Cracking match.

Thought we played with the old Palace spirit.

Very impressed with pva - what an energy grenade!

Some good saves by our keeper and Sakho impressed.
