Even then nothing will changed. To obtain any leadership position in public service means the people signed up to the metaphorical knee-bending years, even decades ago.

The Grooming scandals alone showed that. The most vulnerable in our society effectively sacrificed to ensure that people kept on getting promoted. People who tried to raise the alarm were disciplined for being racist. Even sacked.

The people running this country favour non-whites over whites because they benefit from that.

There will be more and more black crime with less and less done about it. That is just a simple reality. You can see from this apology that the person who leads the police force is now saying sorry because her own offices, cleared not one but twice, did their job. That needs to sink in for all of us.

I wholeheartedly concur with these sentiments.

That all being said I didnt see many tories take the knee. Doesnt alter the facts as to what's happening but a small chink of light. Unlike all the virtue signalling from labour et al.

I did have a long old post to bore everybody with but then I just deleted it. What is the point anymore? Black people seem to think they should be above the law and our legal system seems to be rapidly agreeing with them.

I feel that a little perspective is needed. Most black people aren't on the streets with BLM banners or complaining about anything, they're just getting on with their lives like you and me. It's important to get things in perspective rather than this sweeping and panicked "it's all over.. it's too late" attitude to everything from Brexit to Black people. People are becoming as narrow in their outlook as the activists they criticise. All that does, on both sides, is marginalise good people of all colours and creeds, whose numbers outweigh that of whatever circus is in town that week.

The more black people think Bianca and Ricardo were badly treated, and they do, the more you get mayors like Khan and police commissioners like Cressida Dick continuing this terrible policy.

The black community refuse to acknowledge what happened before the tug and there’s plenty of virtue signallers who don’t bother looking beyond what they’re horrified at to get the whole picture.

Perspective needed is what was said when left wing loons infiltrated institutions and the media and education. We’re on a bad road to some warped and illogical practices that will harm all demographics at some point just so someone isn’t inconvenienced or offended now.

And the point really is that criminals feel it’s easier to get away with crime and are more tempted to do it. Because they’ll be defended or the police chiefs hang their officers out to dry.

We have a thin blue line which, to be more effective, has to target people presenting themselves in certain ways. Stop and search which produces results naturally leads to selection of people to be stopped. Extreme balance would be to ensure that at a certain time each day a certain number of people are stopped, making sure for population reflection that great grand mothers living in Windsor are asked to explain themselves. I have been checked for inviting a police car to move from a side road to the main road.

Most black people I know don't view themselves to be representatives of a 'black community' that they are somehow responsible for the sins of. Nor do they hold a singular view on race relations that people get to push for them on their behalf without even knowing them, nor do they all think they are 'above the law'. Let's go easy on imagining that 99% of black people are the same person, who also is somehow lawless and - or should be apologising for the actions of others.

That’s fair enough but apparently 100% of white people are the same person. And a richly empowered racist person at that.
I think the whole idea of the “black community” is odd. Of course people have friends and families but the idea that West Indians and Africans have any more in common than Welshmen and Canadians is questionable.

That's kind of my point really. It's a mirror image of the same outlook. It all gets very lowest common denominator with the generalising across the board, in which case people end up with the society they deserve. Anyone who's black who tells me that I'm racist by default just because I'm white, or are engaging in 'micro aggressions' or have 'white privilege' without knowing my background will get short thrift or a blank stare. It's simply not how most people in day to day life behave though.

People radically overplay what protests or Youtube clips on repeat actually represent. I know plenty of black people and have not met one person who appears to gives a s*** about BLM protests, let alone attended them. I would certainly say it's fair game to go after the media, because they paint an excess of racism on one side and a 'black community' stance on the other. Outside of the public eye and teenagers with placards though I'm not convinced that the typical man on the street, whatever his race, feels any meaningful connection to any of it. Jimenez shared a similar stateside observation.

I'll leave it at that, as I know things can get a bit groupthink on race. Exit stage left .

Until the full story comes out it would be best to reserve judgement. The worst thing about politics is that people take sides on issues and don't choose to see from the opposite perspective. Almost like both sides are triggered and whatever the opposition's position they automatically have to oppose it. A lot of people who are left will constantly support all leftist issues and the same for people on the right.
If people are constantly thinking like this it's a pretty straightforward way to create division within society.

It doesnt need a story to come out.
A car was asked to stop. It didnt. The police then asked the occupants to get out. Which they didnt. The car was either on the wrong side of the road or going the wrong way down a street. Either way the police do not need a reason to stop a car. So now the story is out do you think 8 coppers are lying.

You make some valid points in your posts but lets address this notion of groupthink on race.

Black Lives Matter.

Whiteness.
White Lives Matter.
Its OK to be white.

First part good. Global organisations promoting the notion. Politicians going down on their knees. Statues pulled down whilst the police stand to one side. People encouraged to shop at 'black owned' business. All collective notions based on skin colour deemed by our leading cultural, buisness and policial elites to be be not only positive but ringfenced in terms of protection from criticism.

Next three parts? All bad. Things to be eradicated. Hate crimes to be even thought about, let alone promoted. A collective guilt and shame imposed because of events nobody in living memoroy played any part in, let alone profited from. 'Karens'. Told to read books. Or just leave. Get out of the way. Gammons openly derided. Don't even need to open their mouths. Just look at the way they look is more than enough justification.

Where is this group-think mentality coming from? Who is actively promoting it? Reinforcing it in our legal system through ideas such as 'hate crime' and so on? Conservatism by its very nature and its emphasis on meritocracy should be cosmopolitan. I truly get that. But we live in an age in which there is no true Conservativism being promoted.

You want us all to treat people as individuals then fine. A perfectly logical and rational position to take. But you cannot have 'group think' when it suits. We are either all categorised, and treated accordingly, by the pigment in our skin or we are not. The Left needs to make its mind up about that.
