For once Roy did actually seem really pi$$ed off with the team, scowling from the bench. Townsend will come in for Tekkers, McCarthy probably for McArthur (unless he recovers) and then it's really a case of whether he decides to drop Luka or Kouyate who have both been poor since the restart. PvA looks about our only threat at the moment, which is embarrassing but true. Ward has been so bad of late I'd almost consider bringing Kelly in for him.

It is at times like this when you look at our squad and realise how small and weak it is. Can anyone really imagine Meyer up against Man Utd's midfield? He would get run over. I would give Riedewald another start though as he has bulked up and is a much better passer than the rest of our midfield, plus he actually seems to have a bit of a fire in his belly to prove himself.

Although I jokingly said 1-0 to us, this is the one game I fear we could get absolutely whopped unless the team really step up. Our only tiny ray of light is that we'll have had an extra day and a half to recover with United playing tonight.

Without Benteke, have we the option of recalling Wickham or the free scoring Sorloth ???

Wickham is injured I believe ( I will refrain from caustic comment). As for Sorloth I don't think we can recall him.

to be fair we did score. Unfortunately the VAR man (Moss) hadn't attended anatomy lessons.

This sounds about right.

A few months ago, I would have thought we had a slight chance, and a decent chance of a draw. Now, nailed on loss. Just try to think of first scorer for your bets. You need someone on a landmark goal, or someone who hasn't scored for three or four games. We're the gift that keeps on giving. League one teams would easily beat us.

I don’t think around is clueless (that’s unfair) he is just so KIn predictable!

I don’t see anything other than minimum 5 -0 . (Goes against the grain but after ruining the weekend yesterday I’m gonna put a fiver on 6 -0 Man urinal to soften the blow).

Roy has clearly lost his midas touch(it could occasionally be spotted under a microscope!!) and we will suffer an embarrassing defeat,on reflection,in the region of 4-0.

Watched Man U v Saints last night. Saints, with nothing to play for, just chased and harried Man I for 96 minutes and got a point. It will be interesting to see us in action (for want of a better word) against Man U. Will we chase and press them all over the pitch and worry them out of winning?
