The only 2 players who should be up for this award are Cahill and Ayew (and that is pushing it); and you might as well scrap the Young Player Award unless you are going to give it to Pierrick for his 13 minutes of PL football this season.

Tomkins has been a solid 7/10, maybe 7.5, and has had nothing to do with the current shambles. That probably makes him a contender?

If you take Tomkins, Cahill, Ayew, Guaita... I'd struggle to fill a top 5 with a candidate that was anything other than laughable. Martin Kelly for his solid cameos?
