I do get the impression that there will be no great wailing from the supporters when Zaha departs.
His star has significantly 'dimmed' and a move away will be in the interests of Zaha himself and the club.

Sad but true, but he has brought it on himself. You can only thumb your nose at the fans who support you and pay your wages for so long before their enchantment wanes.

Bigger club, Champions League, or a Northern side a couple of places higher in the Prem than Palace - not sure of his motivation, or what outcome he is expecting. Wherever he pitches up next season though he will need to pull his finger out - bang average last season disappointingly.

Zaha will still be here come September 12th when the season starts and will still be here when the transfer window closes in October none is going to pay 50million in this climate

There is little doubt conditions in the transfer market have altered due mainly to Covid, and even though many think Wilf, should move on , the question is will it be possible ?
If he doesn’t I wonder will we get the real Wilf, back or is he going to be content to perform under par because he still has the knock ,
I’m sure the crowd will get right behind him if he gets on the job, but will he?

Don't think any bids are incoming for him at this moment in time strange really when bids have come in for Sarr and zaha is better than him in my book

That's the crux of it. He's not going anywhere because no-one wants him with the very limited budgets they're working on. An elaborate Arsenal swap deal is the most he can hope for, but the Willian deal likely kills that off.

The story now for Zaha is how he plays in September. Whether he puts in the season that'll get him a move (which will probably have to be a 25 goal contribution - goals or assists - given his age) or he writes his career off by strolling around and no longer getting in the Palace team. it's totally up to him.

I think looking at transfer rumours we are looking at players in his position. Irrespective of Wilf potential transfer i think we will have alternatives so unless he changes his performances he will be on bench

It’s the ‘he’s one of our own’ that makes me laugh.
Left as soon as he could in his early 20s , flopped massively, went to Cardiff got splinters on his arse . Came back, as there were no other takers.
If he’d succeeded at Man Utd he wouldn’t have given us a second thought. Came back , we made him a multi millionaire.
Now he wants to go again. F*ck him , might be one of yours , never been one of mine. The biggest hype job in premier league history.

The only way I can see him going and I apologise if I’ve said this before (that’s what drink does to you) is if someone, Chelsea for instance, offers us a player or two in exchange. I’m sure none of us would say no to RLC.

Do you think Roy would be brave enough to put him on the bench? I’m not sure he would.

No chance. He needs to protect the investment. Same as Man Utd saying de gea is the best keeper in the world, when we all know that he’s 2 bob.
