Sorry - just look at us. How on earth can this team cope next season? We are now feeble.

OK I'm a pessimist, but with or without Roy I fail to see a way a way out for our team. Zaha apart we have very little quality and there seems to be no finance to buy that in.

I'd love someone to give us a more positive view that we could all agree on.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I get that and I do understand their frustration but the same people are calling out for the youth to be given a chance, obviously , Mitchell is our best youth player , but proved he is not at all good enough to compete in the top tier.
I will say again, Hodgson can only do what he can do with the tools he’s given and in my opinion , keeping us up was an achievement

Yes, on record points, to be fair to Roy, we had already done the hard work before the shut down, the players had nothing but table placings to play for, Wolves on the other hand are after a european place, so were up for it, at the beginning of the season, we all would have accepted record points total and safety, however it came, Roys done well , Parish and the yanks need to fund him, Dougie needs to go in to management again, in the istmian league!

Nice interview Roy - yes, we are very short of strikers, there's one scoring for fun in Turkey, but some c**t who negotiated the loan deal chose to omit any recall clause. Would that be our Dougie, or did he leave it to the commercial guys to come up with that little gem? Not saying that Sorloth is the real deal, but would be good to have called him back to give a chance to find out. Unfortunately we will never know.

I keep veering between wanting him out and feeling sorry for him. Points wise he's done a fair job with such limited resources but his negative tactics have just taken all joy out of watching Palace for the moment.

I blame the board more than anything, our lack of investment in the last few windows means we need more than we can afford in this one.

1. I veer between the two feelings as well but am moving inexorably towards the camp that says it's time for Roy to go. I'm grateful for the fact he has kept us in the big league for yet another year,
2. His negative tactics are probably founded on the limited options he has. It's no good asking him to send out his team to attack when he hasn't got the ammunition to do so. Zaha and Ayew can do a job but we simply don't have any creative players who can provide the bullets for them. We had some very lucky results this year (Both West Ham games, the results against the Weed to name just four.
3. If the board think the writing is on the wall, I can't see them splashing the cash. It will be a case of offloading as much of the deadwood as they can; buy a couple of younger players with Premier league potential; bring in a couple of loans and hope for the best.
4. Hodgson may decide he doesn't want to be around for the club's final curtain in the EPL. I wouldn't blame him.

Go Roy
You cant get the best out of players yet again

You set up the Townsend role in your tactic plan, he make a crap pass, runs into a crowded defence, leaving in front on the penalty box for the excellent chop pass unmarked.

You more concerned about keeping the score down, rather than send on fresh legs to be blooded (the kids). Roy the game was lost, Wolves are putting on on subs and you are doing FA. You lost your ability to managed players and know what to do with them, so you try and play safe tactics and as proved again, you have no Plan B...
GO Roy.

Strange there was hand ball by a Wolves player but ref said it went off Zaha. Couple of matches ago VAR picks at handball at another match the ref doesn't see and GIVE a penalty so why was we not given a penalty, his arm touched the ball...

Go Roy.. retire on Sunday

No manager can keep this squad up again next season. We need a major influx of talent, all over the squad.

Roy isn't blameless, but I think Freedman deserves most of the blame for our old inept roster.

Just think about Meyer, Camarasa, and Sorloth. These were all players brought in with great fanfare and big spends, supposed to make a difference, and none of them did anything. There's a major disconnect between Freedman and Roy, and unless they turn it around in the next 5-6 weeks, we're likely going down next year.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

This is the guy who got the England job because he is so well media trained.

I just wish they asked tricker questions. If anything it might make a dull game a bit more interesting.

As for the performance.... anyone got a suggestion of what went well tonight?

He also said the players are knackered.

So why not put in Meyer, Riediwald etc the last couple of games. What’s the worst that can happen? We don’t score and lose?

Roy told Parish, Sorloth had no future in his team, so they got on that basis the best deal they could.
If only Sorloth disallowed goal at Chelsea had stood.
ROY hasnt a clue what to do with forwards in his out dated defensive tactics...

Haha, so we are basing our angst on something that you don’t actually know is true, but might be, or perhaps isn’t? I thought it was because our style of football is garbage.

I have no idea. But then again, neither do you. However, I don't make a habit of blasting my mouth off when I don't have all the facts. Our style of football is governed by the shortcomings of the squad at the manager's disposal and, let's face it, not too many of them have put in much of a shift lately. Blaming the manager is an easy option. Try and think more expansively.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
