he would not accept performances like this.

I’d rather s**t in my hands and clap than see that colossal pr1ck as our manager.

Nigel Pearson is the reason Watford are on the verge of getting relegated, along with a board that has a revolving board for their managers.

I wouldn’t want him or Eddie Howe...

He's the reason Watford are not yet relegated from the Premier League. They would have been dead and burried long ago with out him.

Watford have spent more on managers in the past 2 seasons than they have on defenders.

Good track record. Kept Leicester up, build decent squads, they looked to play decent football. Won two league titles. No major blemishes on his track record.

Not really sure if I'd want him, at this moment in time I'd prefer him to Roy. Managers only generally last two years. I'd say if he took over he'll probably leave us in a better place than where he found us.

Certainly shows a lot of passion. I miss entertainment.

I wonder if that's the only time it's happened.

A couple of my old managers both had to do media interviews. Everytime they said something wrong they used to swear to force the journalist to do another take.

It's the journalists job to ask tricky questions. If that's the way journalist know Roy will behave, it's no wonder they won't ask him difficult questions. He'll just trash the interview so we don't get to see why he makes some of the decisions he does.

A bit like when he was England manager after the Iceland game when he came out, read a pre-written note then dissapeared without facing any questions.

His statement about the game was "I'm sorry it had to end like this but these things happen".

I'd much prefer difficult direct questions and honest answers politicians answers and barage of cliches we've had for the last decade or so. But thats more of a problem in society in general.

I would be a lot less frustrated at Roy's performance if he just came out and explained some of his dicision making.

I think my favourte interview in recent times is when sky hammered Kenny Dalglish about Suarez not shaking Evra's hand. Was great to watch him struggle after the journalist refused to accept the stock "I didn't see it" argument.

Excellent manager, but the bloke is a total @r$ehole and a thug. I don’t want him anywhere near Palace.

Nigel Pearson doesn't know how to handle the media,...even when he's doing well.

The problem is no-one knows what is happening in the dressing room at matches. Most would guess a thorough reeming for under-performers, ...with no lubricant.

Pearson is a high-performer.

What is the point of wishing for a new manager. When before anything else is done the squad needs filling out, and some quality added.. People talk of Pearson, Howe, both have failed in their own way, nothing to say they would handle our lot any the better . Dyche ,gets points ,whilst running a team that doesn’t entertain. Thats not a great improvement. Then you come to the real nitty gritty, What real quality manager is going to have the size ego to think he could begin to improve on the work Hodgson, has already done with the same penny pinching support he has worked with. So it’s no to Pearson. If we were already in the Championship, maybe, but we are not yet., change the manager now, and Pearson, could be the next after.

Is this a joke? The guys a tool and completely inferior to Roy. ''This lot'' are just a bit dilapidated and old; no manager can change that

The man is deranged. I’m sure jimmy mac will be delighted that the crazy guy who tried to strangle him during a match is a prospective manager!!

He did his thing to McArthur in the open to the watching thousands, just imagine what he's like behind closed doors and it's quite obvious that's what gets him into continuous trouble, he is a disaster.

I know it was strange timing on our part but something must have gone on.

He was out of contract at the end of this week!

The official statement gave some terse line basically saying "He has left "

No mutually agreed guff or any acknowledgement of the job he did which was very good originally.

Pearson was a dead man walking and the Pozzos were just ready to pounce after a bad defeat.

Takes the limelight from their failings and those of the players too .
