From Roy on the BBC..

On BBC
"Roy Hodgson: Crystal Palace manager says 'I don't know what more we can do

We are not going to recover any of the injured players, it will be putting out the same players today on Sunday who are really tired and giving their all for the club."

so name that team...

The team to pay Spurs?

That maybe one way to beat them.

Think Kelly in at centre back alongside Dann.

Jairo I think is decent so maybe bring him in at right back.

Are Kirby and Pierick worth a run out?

Was listening last night and it's as if Roy was afraid to sub Ayew as he throws a strop when being subbed

Does it really matter what team he puts out ?

Play the crystals it might distract the Spurs players.

I think most of us just want to get the Spurs game out of the way and get the season over with. It's go to the point where it's hard to imagine what changes can be made that will make any difference.

Watching last nights match on a stream the co-commentator (Jim Beglin?) made a telling comment about Palace when he said "there's just not enough quality out there." I think that sums things up pretty well.

I see the usually defensive Mourinho going all out for a 5-0 win and probably succeeding sadly.

I'm not sure what will be more painful to watch us playing at the moment or the transfer window opening and being linked with everybody and signing no one.

The sooner West Ham et al announce their dealings are over the quicker we will know what scraps are left for us.

We've just lost seven, we're safe, what the **** does it matter?

And that's the saddest thing. In my 52 years of support, I can never remember not caring about the results.

I do care about our PL results after the spuds match, but I do wonder if the club's cheeses can work together to plot the road map for, say, the next 5 years.

My confidence is not exactly sky high, in fact it's on a par with that of our next [mis]match.

I'm sick and tired of all this 'we're safe and the players are 'on the beach' rubbish.
7 straight defeats (soon to become is totally unacceptable at any time of the season - DeBoer got sacked for the same run - oh hang on a minute we have scored 2 goals though, so that's the big difference?
Wake up Palace & Parish - we are relegation fodder for next season unless major changes happen.

Obviously Meyer isn’t rated otherwise he would have got more game time during this run of 7 defeats - picking the team for Saturday will be basically those that are fit but not Meyer. Perhaps Kelly if fit enough and Reidewald if Hodgson is in a let’s please the fans mood? Expect same poor embarrassing performance and let’s hope Spurs just turn up like Chelsea and Man Utd and just do enough to win and not want to knock up a cricket score :-(

Posters keep saying this - but De Boer only got 4 games - Hodgson was in charge for the 5th, 6th and 7th defeats.

Last night he said he can't magically find new players (or words to that effect) so we're stuck with the same team for Sunday. But he does have options - eg give Meyer a game; try a couple of the youngsters. Kirby was meant to be an oustanding prospect and was in the England U17 squad with Foden, Hudson-Odoi etc. Where is Banks who we got from Scotland in January?

If lockdown carries on through the 2020/21 season it's consoling to know that we've saved a lot of money, time and exasperation. Plus we won't have missed anything.
Even if lockdown is lifted, I for one won't be at Selhurst Park until some big changes are made. I want entertainment and that's what I got when I started watching The Glaziers in the late fifties and the guys then were on a few quid a week.
Spurs: Put out the youth team as I'm sure they will have more energy and enthusiasm than the first 11!
This club needs restructuring otherwise we will be going down the route of Leeds United.
7 losses on the trot!!!
