I think it was supposed to be a lighthearted comment

Apologies, I’m trigger happy these days with my responses to the defensive midfield comments. I need a break from this site haha

Is it too much to hope for at least one midfielder (of Riedewald and Meyer) who are able to find a team mate with a constructive pass?
Our midfield trio runs and hazzle, but is of very little assistance to Zaha & co.

It’s a bit like a hazing initiation ceremony but requires more running.

Spurs 4-1. Own goal in the 88th minute. At least my wife, a Spurs fan, will be happy.

I predict we will start brightly, chasing the game and creating half a chance on about the 20th minute which we will of course fail to convert. Meanwhile Spurs will be sussing us out and will nick a goal in the 43rd minute to go into the break 1-0 up.

Second half we will come out realising there is no chance of getting anything out of the game because we are behind so we will sit 11 behind the ball and try and protect the one goal loss. This will automatically fail as Kane picks up his second in the 60th minute.

Roy will by now be staring at the same patch of grass that has been interesting him all season and decide to put another defensive midfielder on to spice up our attack which will lift us for 10 minutes but ultimately expose us at the back because they are all be too tired and old to chase Son down after a failed foray into the Spurs half. Of course he will bury his one on one in the 86th minute. Result 3-0.

After the match, Roy will say that we controlled the match early on but of course the opposition had quality and we struggled after we went one down. We steadied the ship and then had a go when we were 2 down only to leave ourselves exposed to letting in the third.

Sound familiar?

Good post , but you forgot to add Kane scoops Golden boot award after lacklustre Palace who started badly and faded!. 5-1 Spurs Palace goal (own goal 105 mins)substitutes used (nil).

Wilf's final appearance in a Palace shirt, plays a blinder and we somehow win 2-1 with Mourinho blaming it on the ground being too windy.
