Still only 25, would add a whole new creative dimension to our midfield

Jackson.. Wan Bissaka.... Sansom.. Nicholas.. Cannon.. Guehi.... Zaha... Thomas.. Byrne... Holton.. Rogers.. that should do it..

Why not ? Price maybe. He deserves to be playing in the Premier. He would get in our side I think, At the least he would improve the depth of our squad.

What position does he play though? Seems too frail and slow for attacking misfielder in my opinion. (Didn't seem so the first time I saw him in the U21s years ago, but injuries have taken their toll)

He is left footed so playing on the right and cutting inside is something he likes, but he doesn't have as many matches there to formulate a valid opinion.

He could be a deep lying playmaker, but would need 2 box-to-box or attacking midfielders next to him to secure him.

Come 18.00 on Sunday, Hughes may well be looking for a new club. I do wonder how many Watford players will want to stay if they get relegated. Thug D****y will of course, but the others may want to jump ship given the way the owners hire and fire managers.
Apart from Hughes and Sarr, who else would we take if available? (Prior to VG's arrival I would have said Foster as he's a good keeper).

From Watford? Deulofeu (currrently injured, but good player), Doucoure is a great box-to-box, I'd like Roberto Pereyra if he were free (but I doubt they let him free) and even Holebas, even though he's as old as a grandfather. His physique is one of a 28-30 year old. Cleverley is a decent box-to-box midfielder, but he wouldn't be cheap either.

There is a lot of talent in that squad, it’s a bit surprising they lost their way. If they can keep it together they should impress in the Championship. Might not be to easy teasing any of them away.

Decent player. Remember when Hughes and Johnny Williams Were the up and coming midfielders that people were looking at.

I think his injury has been a big factor in their problems as on his day he is a fantastic player. I'd snap their arm off for him, doucoure or Sarr, but none of them will likely a) want to come here b) be within our price range. Despite his age Ben Foster is still a great goalkeeper and a nice bloke to boot. I'd swap him with Hennessey.

All there strength is in midfield.

I’d have Sarr, Decouré, Gray, and Deulofeu in a heartbeat.

I’m in agreement that we need box to box midfielders, dynamic, with pace. We have all the deep lying players we need in Cheikou, Luka, and the Mc’s.

Sarr cost them 30mil and was on Barcà radar a few years ago, he’ll be at Udinese unless they get the fee they want. So I think we could rule him out on price. Decouré I think will end up at Arsenal and will be 20+mil region so he’s out, so Deulofeu or Gray.

Still owned by Gino Pozzo so if they go down expect a few to go on loan to Udinese for a season+. It might be though that there is a significant clearout and he cashes in on the squad with a view to building a new team. He makes more than a few wild decisions I don’t think Watford fans are ever bored. When you look at them it makes to you grateful for SP.

Doucoure is like a midfield Sakho and Gray is useless but more generally just a c**t too.

Sarr I fear will be out of our price range but Deulofeu I have been a long time admirer of. I thought Everton were crazy to sell him and I worry whenever he gets on the ball as an opposing player.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Will Hughes probably would trade Watford for Palace. Decent midfielder who knows which way to kick.
