VAR was brought in to clear up contentious decisions but in fact it has probably lead to more mistakes.

It dosent help when those calling judgement don't know the difference between hand and arm.

The marginal offsides are a joke

Was supposed to be able to stop biggest teams getting favourable decisions but who got awarded most pens? Man Utd

Who can feel most aggrieved? Bournemouth

I don't think it's been a total disaster, but as you say there is still a subjective component to it. Who decides exactly when the ball has left the foot and and so on.

There is nothing wrong with the technology its the way its used that is wrong . The 'Goal'Sheffield scored against Villa was clearly a goal watching it on the TV and was clearly a goal to anyone close to the action . The ref from memory just pointed to the watch which hadn't indicated the ball crossing the line shrugged his shoulders as if to say it couldn't have done the watch says so and played on .

As with many of the iffy decisions that have happened this seaon with that hawkeye blip and the VAR where the decision in the office was an opinion not fact the ref just has to

GO AND LOOK AT THE FECKIN MONITOR !

And we still need a striker

Eagleman13 would be the person to comment on this thread. He was a top level referee.
His usual comment is the referees decision is final (even if wrong). "If, in the referees opinion,...."

I know it's $hIt, but once the final whistle blows, that's it. The EPL and EFL don't want legal challenges to a result. Palace have had their fair share of bad decisions.

Freddie Sears at Bristol, anyone ?

"The facts have changed", Rishi Sunak
