Watkins will go for around £20m and is worth it, scoring goals in the Championship is not that easy, also he has that one factor you like to see in a player... sell on value, as he is still young.
Not sure how much Edouard is worth, scores for fun in Scotland but not much of a benchmark when it comes to PL, probably will go for about £30m imo

Thought I read somewhere Watkins has an 18m release clause (maybe non promotion related).

Edouard is better, more physically built so more likely to be able to withstand Premier rigours.

But prob at leat 10mill more than Watkins. But two important factors.

1. Watkins I think has more clubs interested in him.

2. Celtic are keen on McCarthy so we could use him in an exchange to try to lower the cash price.

I know Watkins has scored a lot, but look at his goals [Link] 80/90% of them are scored in the 6-yard box and are either simple headers or tap ins. I have not seen him play in all honesty, but he would not get the chance to score 15+ tap ins in the PL in one season, I'm pretty sure of that.

Wouldn't it be nice if these people who write this stuff at least check their facts - no way we paid anywhere near £8m for McCarthy.

What would be nice is he was valued at that in any swap deal !
