Ridiculous analogy. We're talking football here not medicine.

What's ridiculous is being so binary in your thinking that you conclude that just because the worst case scenario didn't occur in another situation, that you were no worse off.

Our defence was visibly less confident when Hennessey was in goal for us. He has proved repeatedly that he's not Premier League level and having him back would be a huge backwards step for a team who value defence over anything else.

So manager's Pardew, Pullis, Allardyce and Roy have all played WH. I would back their knowledge that WH is Premier League level over yours any day. Add the Managers of Wales who have given WH 81 Caps, do they know more than you do about football perhaps.??

At this point I'm wondering if you are actually Wayne Hennessey. Pardew signed Mandanda to try and replace him. Roy signed Guaita to replace him.

You may not have any regard for my footballing knowledge but the stats are inarguable. Since Guaita came in we've taken 0.38 points per game more, which works out to just over 14 points over an entire season.

He keeps a clean sheet in 10% more games and concedes 0.48 goals less per game which, over a season, is 18 goals less.

Guaita also makes an error leading to a goal once every 27.5 games rather than every 13.9 games, which is Wayne's number.

So, to go back to your original point, yes we would be significantly worse off if he left.

Don't know where you get that from! At least two in 8 games since Lockdown. Also you can't say that the 0.38 points per game are due to the keeper!

Stats taken from the Premier League website, no idea where they get them from but would imagine Opta.

I'm sure there are several factors as to why we've taken more points per game since he came in but he's undoubtedly one of them.

Why people believe these random websites, that just blatantly make up stories is baffling.

I can’t remember them getting anything correct, except after it has happened. They just looking for clicks from fans desperate to read anything about their team.

I can look up Stats on the Premier league too. Here one for you:

WH joined Palace in 2014 which is 6 years ago. He has played 181 games all of them in the Premier League, he has made just 13 rpt 13 errors leading to goals in all that time.
VG has just made 3 in the last 8 games leading to goals.

On the Palace website this winter was a video showing the keepers in training. Watching those 10 minutes only confirmed what I had observed in matches, namely, that VG has quicker reactions, better movement, and stronger hands than his colleagues. I also believe his command of the defenders is superior, but that's for Roy to judge, not me.

Unless he is truly unhappy at Palace, we'd be crazy to move him. His only bad spell came during the Restart, and it was a poor spell for the entire club.

Those who want us to let VG go for a measly £3.5m should tell us who we get to replace him and how much he will cost us. We will HAVE to replace him if he goes, It would be unwise to rely just on WH and the current 3rd choice.
I've got it!!!
We can sign Joe Hart!

Did we get relegated with Hennessey in goal???? No we didn't so if VG does leave we'll be no worse off than before he came.

So in your opinion if we rely on Hennesey we wont be relegated? No worse off? Are you serious or have you been drinking? Hennesey is a liability!!
