I wonder if we could set up a deal with Brentford whereby we pay half their transfer fees upfront in return for the option to buy their players for half price a year later, Deal ends when they Hit the premiership.

According to press we only got 7m as our share of the fee so cannot see SP splashing out any more until we off load some of the deadwood (eg: Benteke/Wickham) and it looks like there is not anyone showing any interest!

To be fair... Who in their right mind would want to buy Benteke or Wickham.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned before but I’ve just read that prem clubs have two weeks after the window is closed to buy or loan with EFL clubs. So we could sign Benhrama or Downes as late as 16th October.

I’m curious where this perception comes from? Do you feel as though Roy doesn’t play new signings? Or is it more that the signings won’t be very good and therefore won’t get much game time?

I genuinely can’t think of a player we have signed that Roy hasn’t played. We have such a small squad...it’s impossible to think that there are players that haven’t been given a chance.

The only players who I consider fringe players are Kelly, Jairo and Meyer. Players I think have been given ample opportunity to show they are better than those ahead of them...which in my opinion they are not.

lots of people might want to buy them but not necessarily as footballers, maybe as handymen or gardeners
