Know denying it was a good goal. But the best of the season? And yet Ayews later winner against West Ham wasn't even on the short list! Now if that was Messi.........

Pretty sure Ayew's didn't make it because Son won Goal of the Month for December.

i.e. Ayew probably scored the 2nd best goal, but it doesn't get nominated because Son's has already been declared as better.
