So I take it PvA, Cahill, Tomkins, Benteke are all still not fit? And where's Luka? Looking at PVA’s injury last season I expected him to be out for a while. Tomkins is rather injury prone and also seems to take longer to recover from knocks than you might normally imagine.

The first game of preseason is usually very lethargic. Oxford have already had two big wins in preseason so will be more match fit. Second half will see lots of changes and the game will probably descend into a non-affair. Always good to see more of the youth players though. Maybe Jach has come back ready to fight for a place? Or maybe we just don't have any other fit players! Kirby looked lively last preseason and then we never saw him again. I think this might be a make or break season for his future at the club. If he breaks into the first team, Riedewald holds down a place and we sign Eze we will have some serious hair in midfield - Townsend would have to sharpen up his act

One other thing, anyone else pick up on Bright's dig about Wilf and Andros playing on the wrong sides of the pitch? Seemed like a surprisingly honest appraisal from a club representative.

Its what quite a few if not most of us have been saying since Townsend came here . He bores the s***e out of me the way he keeps steping inside
